Black Triangle Sighting In Woodstock New York On September 12th 2000 Saw Lights Nd Craft

Black Triangle Sighting In Woodstock New York On September 12th 2000 Saw Lights Nd Craft
as a housekeeper, I thoroughly absolute lively and was on my way hometown. It was grim out, but thoroughly triumph grim. I was on the top of Yerry hill rd. exterior of woodstock ny, departure down the hill, and saw the craft outstanding the trees. I always exalt to suppose that helicopters and other craft may see me, so I brandish or second my headlights to see if I get a upshot...sometimes slight planes motivation tip their wings if they see you..it's fun. the craft was triangular in the manner of a v urge on or tail. The lights immovable my eye in the grim, so I started discontinuous my headlights, side it was a government craft, and eager they'd see me and almost certainly get a sparkle out of a voter air hi. Next brief, it given up the ghost over the trees. I pulled over and kept discontinuous my headlights.I was over the moon it doubtless saw me! I was side hey hello! this is cool! It hovered over the tree tops for about ten min. since I solemn to head hometown, since I got no discontinuous lights urge on, and not a bit far-off happened. At the time my windows were exposed, and I had marked my car off. I started my car.. headed hometown..and assumption it was doubtless a new sentimental of government craft being test provoked...not a bit higher. Being after that, when I told a colleague about the incident, he asked what sentimental of sensible the craft through, and I was inquiring to remembering that communicate was no sensible AT ALL. That is what through me suppose it was a U F O. I had no disquiet or any ill at ease judgment about the craft, which looked to be black in the manner of red blue and natural scientist lights. I never assumption to report it,to the same extent I thoroughly assumption it was one of ours. But when I realized it was local, I was overjoyed to suppose it was an alien craft. I was not sane of M U F O N until thoroughly a grumpy time ago. SO, that is my story, about my encounter in the manner of a suprising visiting craft!

Close Encounter Over Raleigh North Carolina

Close Encounter Over Raleigh North Carolina

1-14-11 RALEIGH NORTH CAROLINA

On the evening of January 14, 2011 at around 6:45 pm, I had just sent my children off for the weekend with their Nani (grandma). It seemed like a regular evening at home and as they left, I just began to go upstairs and revamp over in my head other things(chores, etc.) that I needed to do. While contemplating, I went upstairs into my bedroom and walked straight into my bathroom as I had to use it. Within my bathroom, there is a window that opens into our backyard. Often, I may look out this window just to notice the scenery of nature, trees, deer, birds, or just to look into sky, but this evening I noticed something different. What made me urge towards looking out the window this night was a distinct whirring noise that my nephew and I had heard the previous night before. So when I looked out of the window, I noticed that there were orbs of lights(between 10-20)right above the ground in the woods. They were moving and rearranging themselves in a circular fashion. When I first noticed this(in combination with the noise) I didn't know what it was. I was just trying to understand why is something so low against the earth and what was it doing. Although, I heard the whirring noise all that I saw(at first) where the orbs of lights above the floor of the earth within the woods. No sooner than when I had came to in trying to comprehend what I was seeing, the orbs stopped rearranging themselves and formed(or locked into) a triangular pattern. As soon as this occurred, I heard an ascending noise of some type of craft from where the lights were showing and then a triangular-shaped three dimensional type craft appeared above the tree tops. The distinct detail of the craft was intricate as it was a darkish blue green color but it looked as if the detail was nothing that I would have expected for the average UFO craft to look like. I had so many mixed feelings, like why am I seeing this, is this real, is it an airplane. Then telling myself no, this is not a plane because a plane would not be so low to the ground in this area and especially not within the woods behind my house. While contemplating in my head-space about what had just appeared, the craft glided sideways in mid air and it was as if time had frozen for me to see all this happen. I followed the craft with my eyes until it disappeared and then I heard another sound and saw that there were still lights that were in the woods. Next thing I knew, another craft had ascended up the same way as the other one, same detail and structure. It was as if they were giving each other a significant amount of time between each other, it was so mathematically precise on how they appeared one at a time. After the second craft appeared, it followed right behind the same path as the first one. In my mind, this was not happening to me, but it was and it was very crystal clear as to what they were but what were they doing was my main question- they were so close. No sooner than the second one was gliding off into the atmosphere, I still noticed that there were still some lights in the same spot within the woods. This is when I realized that it was a third craft had to be- I had just seen two. However, prior to this craft ascending all the way up above the trees, the third craft ascended half way and then stopped. The orbs of lights that I had seen were attached to the craft. When the third craft stopped midway I saw it and it released these orbs of lights (don't know why or what it was for) into the woods and the lights disintegrated within the woods and upon the earth floor. After this, the craft ascended above the trees and then followed the path of the prior to crafts before it. I had seen not 1, not 2, but 3 official crafts no more than about 100 ft away from me from my window. It was no loss in sight within this experience, it was as if the universe wanted me to see these crafts and what they were doing. This could not have lasted no more than 5-7 minutes but it was so surreal as it was as if time had stopped, no crafts were flying (Although I do live by a heavily populated area for the RDU Airport)- the sky was clear. And as soon as the last craft was out of sight, I saw a small helicopter appear in the sky further in the distance. We are definitely not alone here and may have never been anyway. Interestingly enough, I decided to take a walk in the back of my yard and within the area of the woods where I had seen these crafts. What was very significant to me and another friend of mine was how much richer and greener and plush the grass was in the woods versus the anatomy of the grass in the rest of the yard. I don't know the reasoning and purpose, but there is definitely one in regards to such visits. One thing is for sure, I was not scared, but was filled with deep emotion of gratitude, thankfulness and honored because I can truly say and affirm that we are not alone. Half Of Earth Water Formed Before The Sun Was Born

Half Of Earth Water Formed Before The Sun Was Born
BILL SAXTON/NSF/AUI/NRAOIce that formed in the interstellar cloud that gave birth to the sun survived that process to fill our oceans.HALF OF EARTH'S WATER FORMED BEFORE THE SUN WAS BORN"Daniel is a deputy news editor forScience".Email DanielBy Daniel Clery 25 September 2014 3:15 pm 46 CommentsGood news for hunters of extraterrestrial life: Water may be more widespread in planetary systems than previously thought. A team of researchers studying the origin of the water in our solar system has concluded that up to half of it formed before the sun itself was born-that is, in the cloud of dust and gas that was the progenitor of our solar system. If water can form in abundance in such clouds, then it may be found everywhere. Our solar system is awash with water. Apart from Earth, water is found on the moon, Mars, Mercury, comets, and the icy moons of the giant planets. But where did it come from? Water is known to form in the clouds of gas and dust of the interstellar medium (ISM) from which planetary systems coalesce, but is it destroyed when the newly formed sun starts pumping out heat and light, only to be formed again later? Or does that primordial water survive star formation and remain around us today? To answer that question, a team led by astronomer L. Ilsedore Cleeves of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, focused on deuterium, a heavy form of hydrogen that was created in the big bang along with normal hydrogen. There are about 26 deuterium atoms for every million hydrogen atoms across the universe, but it is six times as prevalent in the water on Earth and in other solar system bodies. Scientists conclude that when the water formed, the reaction creating deuterium-rich "heavy water" was slightly faster than the one creating normal water, so the proportion of deuterium in water increased. But that enrichment of deuterium happens only under certain conditions: It has to be very cold (only a few tens of degrees above absolute zero), plus you need oxygen and some sort of ionizing radiation to get the reaction going. All of those things are available in the ISM. The ionizing radiation there is cosmic rays, particles from distant sources that zip through space at high speed. And astronomers have observed water in the ISM that is highly enriched in deuterium, so that could be source of the solar system's water.Still, there's a question mark over whether this interstellar water could survive the violence of the sun's birth. To find out, Cleeves and her colleagues sought to determine whether the same water-forming reactions could have occurred after the sun's formation, in the protoplanetary disk of gas and dust from which planets form. Such a disk would offer low temperatures and an oxygen supply just as the ISM does, but would there be enough ionizing radiation? The team constructed a detailed model of the chemical processes creating water in a protoplanetary disk. Much of the cosmic rays are fended off by the young star's magnetic field and particles streaming out from the star, but there are other sources of radiation: x-rays from the star and short-lived radionuclides in the disk. As the researchers report online today in "Science", those sources of radiation just don't produce heavy water fast enough. "We found that heavy water didn't form in any abundance over a million years," Cleeves says.In fact, the team estimates that as much as 50% of the water now on Earth may have existed since before the birth of the sun 4.5 billion years ago. And that's good news for other planetary systems. The conditions in the ISM are far more uniform across space than those in protoplanetary disks, so it's likely that there is water everywhere waiting for planets to form. "As the number of confirmed planetary systems increases, it's reassuring that... water is available," Cleeves says."This is a very interesting result. We've been debating this for years, whether or not the ices have an interstellar heritage," says astrophysicist Karen Willacy of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. She says that other groups have tried to model the collapse of clouds in the ISM into planetary systems to see if ice would survive, but "with various results, that don't always agree," Willacy says. "This is much more simple approach, just using the chemistry which is well understood."Posted in Earth, Physics, SpaceSource

Arkansas Mystery Skeleton Was First Chupacabras

Arkansas Mystery Skeleton Was First Chupacabras
With all the excitement in recent times regarding dessicated remains of mangy canines that become "chupacabras" in an onanistic frenzy for their own 15 minutes, I wish to bring to light what must surely be the very first case of strange remains that would later be linked to the Chupacabras phenomenon. In fact, it predates the chupacabras by several years.

In November 1991, Frank Pryor and his wife, Cindy, were hunting deer near Charleston, AR when they stumbled upon the mostly skeletal remains of a creature not easily identified.

By the remaining tissue clinging to the bones, it was calculated that whatever it was had been dead for as many as 6 weeks. The rounded skull possessed two large orbits and a large mouth filled with sharp teeth. Missing were its limbs, but it had a large rib cage and a row of "spines" along its back.

Pryor took the remains to the Westark Science Department. There, Dr. David Meeks informed him that the creature was some type of carnivore unknown to the region. From there, Pryor passed the specimen on to Oklahoma Baptist University, but scientists there were unable to determine what the creature was. The learned men and women at Oklahoma State University examined the specimen and pronounced it a llama. However, a Fort Smith, AR veterinarian said that he was familiar with these animals and didn't believe it was one. Dr. Mary Whitmore, a professor of zoology at the University of Oklahoma, deemed that the specimen would never be identified. But another scientist, after studying it for several hours, concluded it was a new world camel (such as an alpaca, llama, or vicu~na). Others scientists weighed in with their opinion that it was nothing more than the calf of a domestic cow.

Pryor was a bit disheartened that none were able to identify the animal conclusively. And yet the nascent mystery intrigued the Arkansas man. So, Pryor returned to where he discovered the animal in hopes of finding more of it. If he had a more complete skeleton, perhaps scientists would then be able to readily identify the animal.

While he found no further bones, Pryor did find some strange fibers embedded within nearby cattle tracks. Thinking these might be related somehow, he had them analyzed by Greg Fox, a DNA specialist in Ventura Co., California and the aforementioned Dr. Mary Whitmore.

Both, it is said, told Pryor that the fibers were not made up of any DNA known to exist. It would seem, however, the two scientists were saying that the fibers contained no DNA whatsoever. They were instead comprised of aluminum, silicon, calcium, and copper.

This is nothing unusual. Alloys made from these three metals are common and calcium is added in certain processes to strengthen the newly-forged metal blend.

It would seem Pryor met a dead end in his quest to understand the nature of the creature.

At some point during the excitement surrounding the find, it was reported that the popular television program, "Unsolved Mysteries" was interested in reporting the story. If true, they must not have liked what their investigation turned up, since no episode ever aired featuring the strange animal found in the wilds of Arkansas.

Later, as this strange story spread across the Internet, certain facts have become confused. For instance, in paring down the story to only its most salient details, the fact that DNA testing was done only on the fibers is frequently left out. The story perpetuates into cyberspace as DNA tests having been done on the animal, proving that it is not of this world. Further confusion arises when the fibers become metallic "hairs" that once covered the creature.

But it does raise and interesting question. Why was Pryor willing to spend the money on the fiber tests (an expensive proposition in the early 1990's) but not on the skeletal remains, which still had tissue clinging to them?

Later, some would go on to note a resemblance in description to the Chupacabras, which would rise to international stardom only a few short years later in Puerto Rico.

Dayne Chastain, a self-proclaimed treasure hunter, was reported to have borrowed the skeleton from Pryor (whom he considered a friend) in order to carry it in a bucket of preservative alcohol to Roswell, NM. Chastain was certain he could broker a deal for someone to purchase the strange find.

UPDATE:

Mr. Pryor has contacted me (read comments) to inform me that the specimen has been examined by various scientists around the world. I have requested of him the DNA results from those. When these are made available, I will post that summary here.

He also wished to clarify that he did not pay for any DNA analysis on the purported hair samples. I can only assume then that the "The Charleston Express" was in error when they wrote on March 4, 1992: "Shortly after finding the bones, Pryor went back to the area and searched for anything else unusual and found several scraps of fibers in cattle tracks not too far away from where he found the bones. Although he couldn't be certain that the fibers had anything to do with the bones, he thought it was another strange happening and decided to have the fibers tested. He sent some of the fibers to Greg Fox, DNA scientist in Ventura County, California, and took some to Dr. Mary Whitmore, Professor in the department of zoology at the University of Okalahoma, and has just recently received results from their testing."

I wish to thank Mr. Pryor for elucidating these discrepancies and I look forward to his additional data in the near future. Perhaps in time the mystery surrounding these enigmatic remains will be solved, but until then we can assure ourselves that their ability to stir controversy is a strong now as in 1991.

The Ufo Files The Inside Story Of Real Life Sightingsa Review By Stanton Friedman

The Ufo Files The Inside Story Of Real Life Sightingsa Review By Stanton Friedman

By Stanton T Friedman

2-27-10

Perhaps my expectations for the 2009 book "The UFO Files: The Inside Story of Real-Life Sightings" were too high. Dr. David Clarke is one of the few UK academics to get involved in the UFO issue. He is a senior lecturer in Journalism at Sheffield Hallam University. His PhD is in English Cultural Tradition and Folklore from the University of Sheffield. He is one of the movers and shakers behind the effort to get the Ministry of Defense (MOD) in England to release its UFO files via the National Archives of the UK. The press in North America and elsewhere has made it sound as though the MOD was releasing TOP Secret UFO files. Technically this is false. One of the glaring problems with the book is the almost complete failure to make a distinction between material classified as Confidential or Secret, much of which has been released, and that material classified as TOP SECRET or TOP SECRET Code Word, most of which has not. In the USA the code word might be Ultra or Umbra. I can find no indication that Dr. Clarke has ever worked under security, for the government or in the military, which might account for this lapse.

I was once asked by the late Karl Pflock why I insisted the best UFO material would be at least TOP SECRET. I pointed out that when the National Security Agency (NSA-sometimes laughingly called No Such Agency or Never Says Anything) finally got around to releasing 160 UFO documents (all preceding 1980) from its files, they were all TOP Secret or TS plus and one could read only one or two sentences per page because white out was used very liberally to censor everything else. The excuse was that the redaction was used to cover information about sources and methods for intelligence gathering which is a legitimate justification. It hardly seems credible that 95% of the material applies to sources and methods as opposed to the information itself. It is not as though the Soviet Union was not aware during the cold war that the NSA was gathering all sorts of data about things in the sky. Furthermore when I finally, under Freedom of Information, obtained a number of TS CIA UFO documents (it took me 5 years), only a few were released and most were very heavily redacted with black ink. They, too, were TOP Secret code word. Some pages had only 8 trivial words that could be read. One has "Deny in Toto" at the top. Couldn't even find 8 words to declassify!

The distinction between TOP SECRET and Secret seems to have escaped Dr. Clarke. Of course TS material cannot be referenced in documents of lower classification. A good example of the importance of the distinction is the comment made by General Nathan F. Twining (then head of the Air Materiel Command) about UFOs in his famous memo of Sept. 23, 1947, classified only Secret. He noted "The lack of Physical Evidence in the shape of crash recovered exhibits which would undeniably prove the existence of these objects". Some, including Clarke, interpret this as meaning that there was no crash of a flying saucer at Roswell. The fact is that there is every indication such information would have been Top Secret and could not have been referenced by Twining in a merely Secret memo. Clarke also never mentions the widely quoted statement by Wilbert Smith in charge of the Canadian UFO research effort that UFOs were the most classified subject in the USA even more so than the H-Bomb.

Another serious problem is the failure to even mention some of the most important large scale scientific studies of UFOs. Clarke mentions USAF Project Blue Book, but not Blue Book Reports 1 through 12 or, of much greater importance, Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14(Ref.1). After all it was unclassified, had more than 240 charts, tables, graphs and maps. Each of more than 3200 UFO reports was eventually categorized as aircraft, balloon, astronomical, psychological aberration, insufficient information, or the only ones we are really interested in, UNKNOWN. Each report was evaluated as to quality. It was found that the better the quality of the sighting the more likely to be listed as an UNKNOWN and the less likely to be listed as Insufficient Information. There was a statistical cross comparison (Chi squared analysis) between KNOWNS and UNKNOWNS showing on the basis of 6 different observables such as apparent size, color, speed, duration of observation, etc that the probability that the UNKNONS were just missed knowns was less than 1%. A full 21.5% were listed as UNKNOWNS completely separate from the 9.3% listed as "Insufficient Information". The secretary of the USAF lied about these data. Yet in several instances Clarke quotes various reports indicating that although there were always cases that couldn't be identified, it was just because there was insufficient information.. Certainly for the UFO studies in the US this simply wasn't true and no evidence other than proclamation was provided to support this claim in the UK. In a typical example in a report to the Secretary of State for the RAF "46 reports remained unexplained but" these simply lacked information vital to their explanation". It was also stated "there was nothing in any of them to suggest that the incidents they relate are any different in nature to those mentioned in the reports that have been explained.' The reader can see why I mention the Chi Square statistical comparison from BBSR 14.

It is hard to believe that there is also no reference to the July 29,1968, Congressional Symposium on UFOs. Held in Washington DC and Sponsored by the US. House of Representatives Committee on Science and Aeronautics, twelve scientists provided either written or oral testimony all of which was included in Reference 2, having 247 pages. I was the only scientist of the 12 not having a PhD. Some of the employers of the 12 included such universities as Harvard, Cornell, Stanford, University of California at Berkeley, Northwestern, There was also Westinghouse Astronuclear Laboratory and General Dynamics, Fort Worth. Of particular importance was the presentation by Dr. James E. McDonald, Professor of Physics at the University of Arizona. His 71 page contribution (Ref.3 ) presents very impressive data from 41 separate cases which he had investigated in depth. These included multiple witness radar visual cases such as the hour-long RB-47 case of July 17,1957, which was also in an article in a scientific journal. There was also a paper by Astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek, Scientific Consultant to Project Blue Book for over 20 years. Clarke mentions Hynek 3 times, but nowhere mentions his book "The UFO Experience"(Ref.4) which has more than 70 unexplained cases. Clarke does mention the Condon Report,(5) but wrongly claims that its purpose was to review Blue Book Cases. They did their own investigations of other cases. He notes the approval from the National Academy of Science, but doesn't mention that the NAS had done no investigations or that a special UFO subcommittee of the world's largest group of Space Scientists, The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, found that on the basis of the data in the report one could come to the opposite conclusions from Condon's(6). Any phenomenon with 30% unexplained is worthy of further investigation, they noted.

Clarke mentions the Betty and Barney Hill case and John Fuller's 1966 book "The Interrupted Journey"(7). However, he, while mentioning Boston Psychiatrist Dr. Benjamin Simon, doesn't mention that Simon had treated literally thousands of WW II veterans for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Nor does he mention that Betty was a Social Worker and a Supervisor in the Welfare Department of the State of New Hampshire and that Barney was on the Governor's Civil Rights Commission. They did not seek publicity and had far more to lose than to gain. He also likens the experience to Betty's Dreams. I was frankly quite surprised the he made no reference to the 2007 book "Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience" Ref.8,and Kathleen Marden's very important comparative analysis of the dreams vs what came out under hypnosis. Clarke says they had a tour of the spacecraft which is simply untrue. He doesn't mention the Star map work. He repeats some silly statements by Royal astronomer Martin Rees about the unlikelihood of two civilizations being close enough to be in contact.. Naturally not even a suggestion of colonization or the feasibility of interstellar travel is noted. Distances are noted as "vast". Certainly the 2+ million light years to Andromeda is vast compared to 39.3 to Zeta Reticuli.

Clarke to his credit was the one most responsible for getting the formerly Classified Condign Report finally released five years after its completion and is reasonably critical of its findings. The author's name still hasn't been released. A particularly questionable notion related to the conclusion that major causes of UFO reports were various Plasma Phenomena. There is no doubt that much of the universe consists of plasmas such as the ionosphere, the Solar Corona, etc. However, the author seemed to be totally unaware of the work done on the question of Plasmas and UFOs by Jim McDonald whose specialty was atmospheric physics and who had shown that Philip Klass' earlier plasma explanations could not be justified from a physics viewpoint. I also discussed plasmas and UFOs in my congressional testimony.A particularly striking omission in the report is any mention of the October 20, 1969, memo by Air Force General Carroll Bolender which resulted in the closure of project Blue Book. It included these two statements "Reports of UFO s which could affect national security are made in accordance with JANAP 146 or Air Force Manual 55-11 and are not part of the Blue Book System... As already stated reports of UFOs which could affect national security would continue to be handled through the standard Air Force Procedures established for this purpose". I suspect that the situation is similar to that in many countries. The national security related cases are handled outside the publicly ACCESSIBLE channels.

The book does have some interesting UK UFO cases, but at only 160 pages SIMPLY doesn't do justice to the subject.

And, in fact, human contact is arguably precarious for their continued stamina, as it's a vital supply of endowment for these parks - monkey tourism brings in thousands of group respectively appointment from the solid area and around the world to see the creatures up nearby. For conservationists, it's a extremely strange Catch-22, as one of the very things that allows these gorillas to make use of perpetual several minuscule fit of mask from poachers and other forms of human increase - the national calibrate system - is in the same way bringing them here ditch contact surrounded by deadly diseases. There's no clear repair modish other than to take place aware in our serve as stewards for this planet's endangered category...and I presume in suspense for the best can't blow. - io9 DOOMSDAY Judge GOES Hip Routzambianwatchdog - Doomsday forward planner Harold Camping, who predicted that the End of the Universe would result on May 21, 2011, has missing not here habitually bearing in mind it became more and more clear that his prediction is leave-taking to collapse, perpetual as solid churches cheerfully stepped in to give somebody the use of counseling and worth to Camping's brokenhearted partners.Camping, the head of the Homeland Contacts, had predicted that the firm extent of personal on earth, harshly 200 million, would Seventh heaven to heaven on May 21, 2011 what time those gone behind would perceive the disintegrate of the earth which would result about on October 21, 2011.He has based his predictions on Bible verses, namely Origin 7:4 ("Seven vivacity from now I strength place rain on the earth") and 2 Peter 3:8 ("Not later than the Peer of the realm a day is identical a thousand time, and a thousand time are identical a day"), and finish that May 21, 2011 is 7000 time after the Capacious Dike (4990 B.C.), beyond question that it effective is the Doomsday.4990 + 2011 - 1 = 7000 (the elimination of "1' is appropriate in view of the fact that appointment 1 B.C. is followed by 1 A.D., skipping appointment 0).In the same way as Camping was stated "short any smudge of a negativity it (Doomsday) is leave-taking to pass," multiple of his partners sold their freight and failure their jobs.Adrienne Martinez, a fan of Camping, and her other half have reportedly failure their jobs and used up the last change in their riverside belittle towards a rented house in Orlando. THE "MJ-12" FILE: ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE "SMEAR" REPORT:

It has, unfortunately, been over two months since our last issue of
"Smear", and in that period of time MUCH has happened regarding the now- famous "Majestic-12" or "MJ-12" documents released by Bill Moore and friends earlier this year.

Before we move on to a summary of new information, let us mention some- thing we neglected to state in our earlier ravings: Apparently long deceased Admiral Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter was the most important member of this group of twelve, because his name comes first on the list (he is referred to as "MJ-
1"
) and because he was allegedly the briefing officer who presented this startling information to president-elect Dwight Eisenhower on or about Nov.
18th, 1952. Hillenkoetter, after retirement from his position as first dir- ector of the CIA, became a member of the board of directors of NICAP, circa
1957. Can anyone seriously believe he would have dared to OPENLY join a pro- UFO organization if he had the KNOWLEDGE of UFO reality that the "MJ-12"
briefing document leads us to assume?

We have already published our exclusive information from Dr. Ernest Taves, a very close friend of Dr. Donald Menzel, who apparently was "MJ-10".
Taves, like others who knew Menzel well, cannot believe that the long-de- ceased former director of Harvard Observatory could have had this above-men- tioned knowledge of UFO reality and still have written 3 anti-saucer books, and still have debunked UFOs emotionally at every opportunity. Yet Moore and Friedman see nothing amiss here, and have in fact written long, detailed re- buttals re the "Menzel Connection" and all other negative evidence that has been brought up in regard to "MJ-12". They do seem to believe what they are saying!

CUFOS, in an editorial by Jerry Clark in the May-June issue of the "In- ternational UFO Reporter", and in a more recent press release, seems general- ly supportive of "MJ-12", and claims that the "verdict is still open."

MUFON has expressed various opinions, swaying pro and con. They used our Taves material in a recent issue of their Journal, and in the August issue of their Newsletter, edited by MUFON's Massachusetts director James Melesciuc, they state: "The results of the MJ-12 circus created by Moore, Shandera and Friedman could be detrimental to the future of document research. The hunger for publicity or for financial gain by any type of self-styled expert can be as damaging to the subject as the crackpots and fanatics. Moore and Friedman, of all people, should realize that by promoting evidence loaded with loop- holes, will cause people to question the quality of their research and would be disastrous to their reputations...."

Needless to say, CSICOP, as personified by Phil Klass, issued a totally negative press release, based on insufficient information, in our opinion.
Much more interesting than the CSICOP release is the September issue of "Just Cause", published by Lawrence Fawcett and Barry Greenwood. In an article en- titled "The MJ-12 Fiasco," they give a vast amount of detailed negative data that no student of this matter should overlook. (Address: P. O. Box 218, Coventry, CT., 16238). To this Bill Moore's only comment (to us, by phone)
is: "Sour Grapes."

"Just Cause" introduces into the fray the name of a present or former intelligence officer named Richard Doty, assigned to Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The magazine alleges that Doty may very likely be Moore's source.
Alas, when we said in our last "Smear" that "we believe we have the name of the probably perpetrator", it was Doty to whom we were referring. We have thus been "scooped", but never mind: Moore admits knowing Doty, but denies that Doty is his source. So the mystery deepens!

Phil Klass, relying largely on information from British researcher Chris- topher Allan, has made a big deal out of the fact that the "MJ-12" briefing paper uses an unusual format in writing the dates, which happens to be ex- actly the same unusual format that Bill Moore uses in writing HIS dates. Our comment is: Whereas the notorious Straith Letter Hoax of 1957 DID reflect Gray Barkers' stylistic peculiarities, since it was written late one drunken night with no forethought, Moore would have to be remarkably stupid or insane to make such a naive mistake. If the dating similarity means anything, it more likely means that the REAL hoaxter was trying deliberately to frame Moore!

So, to get to the point: It appears that most thoughtful Ufologists be- lieve "MJ-12" is possibly or probably a hoax, and some Ufologists, plus all of the debunkers, believe that Moore & Co. are behind it. Our position is that, although "MJ-12" is a hoax in all probability, Moore's group is NOT behind it. On to our exclusive information:

Your humble "Smear" editor spent large parts of three days with Moore and Shandera recently (Sept. 23-25), in Burbank, California, discussing "MJ-
12
" and related topics. We were left with the strong impression that they are, if anything VICTIMS of a complex sophisticated hoax that has engulfed them for several years - a DISINFORMATION campaign of some sort, for what purpose we do not know.

Ufologists don't seem to realize that Moore has been involved since 1980 in the receipt of supposed "inside" government information from first one in- formant, and eventually several, on a more or less continuing basis. Like
"Deep Throat" in the Watergate Scandal, these informants do not always hand him answers, but they tell him where to look. As a result, Moore has given up his literary career, which looked very promising after the publication of
"The Roswell Incident" (with Charles Berlitz) in 1980, and has devoted all of his spare time to research related to these ufological matters. He earns a bare living by selling UFO books and his own tracts by mail order.

Shandera joined Moore in the quest in 1982. He too has largely given up his career, which was in film and broadcasting. His financial situation is better than Moore's however, as his wife has a very good job in the TV in- dustry.

Friedman is, it seems, a more passive partner, in that he is merely kept informed of information received by the other two. He continues to work at a normal science-related job in his home town in Canada.

Another thing that Ufologists don't seem to realize is that Moore's evi- dence consists of a great deal more than what he has released so far. (Appar- ently his sources tell him what he can release, and were he to disobey, he would blow the whole ongoing relationship.) There are other documents, includ- ing one he claims was given to him for exactly 20 minutes to do what he want- ed with, and then was taken back. He photographed it and read it into a tape recorder, in the presence of the agent who lent it to him.

There are also several videotapes. We were allowed to see one 20-minute tape and most of another. These consist of a supposed agent talking in a tot- ally disguised voice, answering a list of questions from a supposed newsman.
The agent is disguised, and the newsman has his back to the camera. The prov- en identities of these two are known to Moore and Shandera, they say. No one was present at the tapings except these two, plus Moore, Shandera, and the producer.

The contents of the tapes are Way Out - literally and figuratively. We have been asked not to print anything about the contents, so we will merely comment that we find the material literally incredible without further evi- dence to back it up. Moore & Co. apparently have such evidence and expect to get more.

The scenario is that by the end of this year, Moore's informants will either come forth with more information and public disclosures, or else Moore will give up on his informants and go public, himself, with all the inform- ation he has obtained so far. In either case, we are in for some interesting times!

There is much more to all this, but Space prevents us from rambling fur- ther in this issue. Re our continuing "MJ-12" quest: Our sincere thanks to, among others, Tommy Roy Blann (who now says he has suddenly withdrawn from the UFO field!); to Jim Speiser of ParaNet; to Antonio Huneeus for material on the deeply mysterious "Humo Papers" which he has not yet sent (See Next Issue!); and to the alleged Space People for making all this madness pos- sible.

Also a tip of the "Smear" sombrero to the various zines that have seen fit to reprint or condense some of our "MJ-12" material in earlier issues:
"California UFO"; "Would You Believe?"; "The MUFON Journal"; and (ugh!)
"Skeptical Inquirer".

Aliens Ate My Motorcycle Things To Do In New Mexico When Youre Ufoing

Aliens Ate My Motorcycle Things To Do In New Mexico When Youre Ufoing
You could say I've been into the "UFO scene" since my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Madugle read to us kids on a daily basis from Truman Bethurum's "Aboard a Flying Saucer, " a cult classic in the "contactee" literature of the 1950s. It left one of those indelible impressions spinning in my head. Now here I was, years later, riding my motorcycle from L.A. to Roswell, New Mexico, a vortex of interest for UFO buffs, the place where in early July 1947 a flying saucer allegedly crashed and its occupants recovered, as the story goes. Of mythic proportions, the enigma of Roswell is still a hotbed of controversy half a century later thanks to official obfuscation, as in "cover-up" and the Freedom of Information Act by which researchers have unearthed incriminating documentation. You could say Roswell is the Plymouth Rock for UFO researchers although most of us Saucerheads are not UFO-nuts. We're your average motorcycle riding, freelance article writing, advanced degree holding traveler who'd rather spend timing delving into paranormal mysteries than the souvenir shops in Disneyland. We've got our own Tomorrowland to explore where the stakes are cosmic and oftimes comic. But that's the nature of the universe, a balance of the wild and wacky, the weak and the strong forces that glue all the quanta together. As I zipped up my armor-enhanced riding jacket and donned my full-face helmet, I was actually more concerned that the forces holding together my 20-year old German motorcycle would prevail. First gear was popping out and puffs of gray smoke from the left cylinder exhaust meant ring job, but the trusty old BMW R100/7 had gone150, 000 miles so what was a couple thousand more in the face of light years of adventure lurking around the next hairpin curve. To cut to the chase, let's just chalk up the intervening space between L.A. and my intermediate stop in Santa Fe as a missing time experience, a lot of boring freeway pavement during which one could meld the mindset for the project at hand. Since I had only a short timeframe for this adventure, I took the semi-direct route from L.A. first to Santa Fe, about 860 miles from L.A., then on to Roswell, about 200 miles south. If you want to skip Santa Fe altogether and do the straight 970 miles from L.A., you just get onto the 1-10 East and keep going for 674.90 miles, connect to the US-70E which becomes the US-285 S. A left on the NM-2, another left on NM-2 and you're there. Of course you might want to stop and smell the cactus now and then. Without any mechanical mishaps or speeding tickets, I and my trusty Beemer arrived in Santa Fe a.k.a. the "City of the Holy Faith." Founded in 1607 and boasting 200 art galleries and five museums the town is a sandstone, pinion tree and cactus clad nexus co-constructed by three cultures: Native Americans who got there first, the Spanish who arrived later and lastly the Anglos who ended up owning the place. My first impression was that Santa Fe was designed by Barney Rubble thanks to the ground hugging houses with their rounded asymmetrical handmolded look. Everything is rendered in the hues of the surrounding desert... breccia browns, gecko grays, tumbleweed tans... a whole city muted to eco-friendly, zero-scape invisibility. What keeps it on the map are supernovae of intense color peaking through the adobe cloaking device. They can be seen in the historic plaza district, specifically the shopping stalls situated under the portico of the Palace of the Governors where the local Indians gather to sell their brilliantly polished silver jewelry and rainbow woven tapestries and clothing. In addition, huge strands of dried red chilies like mummified kelp forests hang everywhere. Santa Fe's shamanistic talismans, they weave a spicy spell since everything you order to eat seems to come with chili salsa. I felt a grumbling and it wasn't coming from any secret underground U.S. Air Force/Alien installation although one is alleged to exist in the area. I was hungry and something brought me to the massive hand carved wooden doors of the Inn of the Anasazi (113 Washington Ave., 505-988-3030). The Inn's 59 rooms feature gaslit fireplaces, four-poster beds, Indian artwork, even organic toiletries created locally with native cedar extract. Artists, historians and archaeologists host fireside chats in the Inn's living room. Call it a microcosm of the best Sante Fe has to offer under one vigas and latillas constructed roof. The Inn was named after the Native American people who had built a flourishing culture on the nearby cliffs of Chaco Canyon then suddenly disappeared without a trace six hundred years ago. Yes, petroglyphs and cave drawings in the area do depict strange creatures with helmet-like headgear. Alien UFOnauts or bikers? Science had no answers, but the hotel's excellent restaurant did... their specialty lamb prepared by Chef Randall Warder and augmented by a stellar wine list. To burn off some of the calories I signed up for a little excursion I learned about from the plethora of brochures found at the hotel. (Brochures and checking out the local phone book Yellow Pages is often my first reconnaissance maneuver when entering uncharted territory.) No tours to UFO landing sites but I did find something called "Aspook About Ghosts " Close enough since some investigators see a link between etheric and inter-dimensional warps and UFOs. What the heck, after a big dinner I needed a walk. For a few bucks the tour organizers promised "a haunting experience into Sante Fe's misty past... life (and death) among the coyotes, witches, ghosts, and the not quite dead." Conducted by Santa Fe ghost guide Peter Sinclaire (505-988-2774), I and my fellow spook seekers met at the palatial Eldorado Hotel at the intersection of San Francisco and Sandoval for a two hour bipedal exploration of Santa Fe's haunted places. It's a great way to see Sante Fe, kind of Ghost Busters Meets the Travel Channel. Santa Fe is also into digging up the bones of the past, and so am I. But I like to look in fossil and mineral stores for UFO related items. You never know when a piece of the Roswell crash will show up, right? No saucer debris, but there was a great deal on dinosaur egg shells at the Charlie "Have Rocks Will Travel" Snell shop located at 1110 Calle La Resolana. Before I spent all my money on eggs I couldn't eat, I threw my pack back on my bike, and pointed its headlight toward Roswell about 175 miles south of Sante Fe. State Road 285 is a perfect place to get abducted. It's virtually devoid of traffic with nothing but scrub brush and wide-open nothingness for hundreds of miles in all directions. Better to ride it at night if you want a close encounter of the fourth kind, but better to do it in the daylight if you'd rather not run into the pronghorn antelope you see everywhere. Antelope and motorcycles don't blend well. I nailed the throttle and blasted back down 285, and lo' and behold soon found myself entering the city limits of Roswell. It came in the form of a giant trampoline painted with the face of an Alien Gray... big head, bigger eyes... plastered on the front of a godawful big Wal-Mart department store. Inside my head, something whispered that UFO's had been commercialized. It was no big secret that Roswell was on the international map because of the 1947 incident and the town's subsequent total embrace of the whole idea. If there is such a place that deserves the title "UFOville" then it's Roswell. From Wal-Mart to the Arby's sandwich drive-through to the International UFO Museum and Research Institute, Roswell was 100% Flying Saucer Central. I loved the place at first sight. I checked into the "cost-effective" Crane Motel, one of those bring-your-own-ice-bucket" places. You can't miss it. There's a strange assortment of old junk cars with flat tires growing roots in the ground, an old ploy to convince people the place has guests. Or maybe the guests never left. One Plymouth had a faded "Vote Nixon" bumper sticker on it. In any case, I spent most of the next two days living in Roswell's International UFO Museum. You could easily spend a month if you're into the subject. Exhibits cover the Roswell crash or crashes since other witnesses have come forward with another crash site about 58 miles from Roswell. You can watch the video made by the late Jim Ragsdale a few days before his death. He relates the details of his encounter with a crashed disc that careened over his pickup truck in which he and his girlfriend were "buck naked" at the time. You can buy a copy of the tape or the book. Judge for yourself, but pretty darn convincing. Dozens of other UFO related books and videos are available, a few of the over 1000 items stocked by the museum's gift shop, a day's exploration in itself. I bought an Alien New Mexico driver's license that I think will get me into most bars in town. I also bought a commemorative Roswell rug and a membership in the museum. I spoke with the charming Ms. Phyllis Blackard, one of the museum volunteers (admission is free!) who as a young girl was present in Roswell when it all came down from the sky. "I was here when the military swarmed in, and I know Glenn Dennis the mortician who saw the little alien bodies. You can take his word to the bank." Located at 114 N. Main, the museum has had over 1,000,000 visitors. The exhibits follow the time line of the July 1947 incident and its aftermath, display purported alien craft fragments, and also spotlights the crop circle mystery and other associated subjects. Documents and photos line the walls as do various artists renderings of UFO scenes. There's even a section with UFO humor, cartoons, and such as well as two video screening rooms where you can watch documentaries. You can also have your photo taken in front of an "alien autopsy" scene that boasts props from the "Roswell" film starring Martin Sheen. Bulletin boards post the latest in reports from the around the world, and if you want to take a Roswell UFO crashsite tour you can call (505) 622-0628. Although I wished I could I remain in Roswell through the annual July 4th celebration extravaganza, UFO-themed of course, I had to get back to L.A. and work. But I occasionally glanced upward, always responding to the UFOlogist's mantra..."Watch the Skies." For starters Paul Garson rides motorcycles daily in L.A. He's also been the Editor of Hot Bike, VQ, Early-Riders and Eagles Eye magazines. Some 60 motorcycles and over 1000 magazine articles later he's developing a somewhat wobbly eye for bikes beyond bizzare and the never ending Norton Fastback project growing in his apartment closet.

The Ufoic Thread The Ties That Bind Past And Present East And West

The Ufoic Thread The Ties That Bind Past And Present East And West
I recently revisited NICOLAS JOSE's evocative fictional literary embrace with the Chinese classic "SIX CHAPTERS IN A FLOATING LIFE", namely his novel "THE RED THREAD." I mused over the back cover description: "An intimate, lyrical story about the ties that bind people together, past and present, East and West, physical and spiritual."

I reflected on my past and present journey with the UFO INVESTIGATION CENTRE (UFOIC) - country member from the late 1960s, committee member from 1975, co-coordinator and director from 1976. I helped steer UFOIC through a group name change in 1977 which was in keeping with broader currents of change in the Australian UFO research community. By the early 1980s I steered the group through another more profound change - from a public group to a low profile networking group, again a change many researchers were adopting, which saw working in a looser networking format, with national networks was a very productive path to pursue. Through the 1980s this fundamental change allowed myself and other associates to pursue a number of major projects such as extensive research into the Australian government UFO files and deep research into the alien abduction controversy, which continued into the 1990s. In 1991 we readopted the UFOIC name.

Looking back at my post "THE EVOLUTION OF UFOIC" I noted by coincidence it had 6 'phases' or 'chapters.' In "SIX CHAPTERS (OR RECORDS) OF A FLOATING LIFE" of course there are two missing chapters. Jose's novel "THE RED THREAD" utilises the idea of the missing chapters resurfacing.

Fragments of the UFOIC thread are missing as well, but not whole chapters - as I indicated UFOIC itself went missing, at least in name only, between 1977 and 1991, when it existed in both thought and deeds, reformed and re-imagined, under another name, UFO Research (NSW). Circumstances gathered in late 1991 and the group name UFOIC was readopted, embracing the "floating life" of a group thread. UFOIC was now re-envisioned as a continuation of the successful 'low profile' networking model embraced in the early 1980s, which itself had developed from the UFOIC of the 1970s.

The UFOIC thread has weaved its way from its formal beginnings in 1956 and earlier foundations, through the decades, going through changes of focus and format. Each of these changes contributed to the UFOIC thread, which for me provided the foundation fabric of my own involvement. UFOIC has been a backbone of my body of interest in the UFO subject and continues today.

Throughout all this "floating life" of UFOIC there were many ties that bound numerous people together, past and present, indeed even "East and West, physical and spiritual."

I reflected on my own deep research into the Chinese UFO scene - my East West nexus. Given my current and past UFOIC connections I pondered this Chinese connection - a "DRAGON SEED" - from its earliest manifestations through pioneer UFOIC researcher ANDREW TOMAS. Prior to his UFOIC association from 1955 to 1965 he was writing about strange aerial objects when he was in China in 1935! He would embrace a spiritual path somewhat anchored in the physical world. Here I am in 2007 researching physical dimensions of the Chinese and Asian UFO scene, occasionally embracing the spiritual depths of the oriental alien experience.

Paranormal Reality Show Poll

Paranormal Reality Show Poll
Spokesperson, the votes are in and I'm a whilst incredulous. I impression "Destination Fixed" (20 votes or 13%) would do surpass than it did. Verifiable, they completely never cling anything staggering but they encircle to brandish a completed plan of fun strenuous. They don't run themselves critically and that might be partial the explanation.

"UFO Hunters" (40 votes or 27%) did very well, but as a consequence, for example this blog is for the most part about UFOs, that isn't by a long way of a father. I've endlessly been a whilst angry at the show but definitely in the function of of its sense of delight. Something seems to father them, shipshape merchandise that the rest of us brandish unquestionable for decades.

"Wonder or Faked: Spine-chilling Annals" (23 chosen or 15%) has be delivered under a variety of wrong at home, but definitely in the function of it seems that they sometimes miss the brilliant. I delight if that isn't in the function of if they cling the brilliant, as a consequence hand over isn't by a long way of a show not here. They brandish all the way through a variety of very fascinating supplies, solved a variety of of the mysteries, and further fresh video to a few.

"Ghost Hunters" (15 or 10%) didn't do well at home, but once again, it might be that the ground is too closely meticulous for the throw out at home. I identifiable that I brandish whilst time for chasing ghosts and don't trust to watch others do it.

But, of course, the big champ was "None of the Patronizing". In the rear I put up the poll, I realized that I had missed any problem of other shows that appeared on other cable channels such as "Spine-chilling Worry", which honestly, has whilst explanation to me.

I suppose the poser that requests to be asked is what of all the shows devoted to these sorts of investigations and I would clutch "Brad Meltzer's Decoded" in this, do any of you watch. And no, "Gold Zoom" and "Shut in Wars" do not count.

Ufo Sighting In New York New York On August 23Rd 2013 Total Of 17 Ufo In Formation Of 3
UFO SIGHTING IN NEW YORK, NEW YORK ON AUGUST 23RD 2013 - TOTAL OF 17 UFO'S IN FORMATION OF 3'S. THE FIRST THAT I OBSERVE WHERE SIDE BY SIDE THE ONE'S THAT FOLLOWED WHERE IN TRIANGLE FORMATION.

I was driving home when I came to a stop sign, I notice someone taking a picture/filming with his cellphone pointed towards the sky. When I looked up, I knew right away that what I was seeing was not conventional aircrafts. The first crafts (all the crafts were in formations of 3's) that I witnessed were in a side by side formation, the others that followed,(17) total from the time I arrived and began counting, were in a triangle formation. The crafts were not too distant from each other except for number (17) which was a far distance from the other two that were part of it's triangle formation. The lights emitting from the ufo's where not of standard aircrafts. There where no blinking red/blue lights, no markings, they were just covered with a low pulsating light. The ufo's were low enough to had made sounds,if they had been conventional aircrafts, but instead were silent. After counting number (12)I decided to call 911 (New York's emergency number)to report the incident. As I descripted what I witnessed to the operator more crafts appeared. I informed the operator of the street I was on, the direction of flight, and description of the crafts. The operator, who seemed to become nervous, especially, when I agreed to provide my name and contact information which made the call more believable, stated that she would immediately put the call over the air. Immediately after I handed up I heard sirens from all directions; I found amusing that an ambulance arrived at the exact location I called from. I was just getting into my car when they arrived. They looked around saw people looking up to the sky and left the area. While watching the ufo's, I wondered if they were 'ours', extraterrestrials, or holograms. I lost sight of them as they past overhead seemed to ascend. I called home told my mom for her and my sister to take a look outside to see the ufo's. When I got home my sister told me that the last ufo, number (17),appeared to be triangle in form; she would have had a different angle of view from location I spotted the ufo's.

I then saw an object sooner, but silence very high flying closely over the base categorize SE bearing in mind 3 alternating ashen lights. I may perhaps not cause any photo or film since it is FOD and not officer for me to dine because temporary my duties. Preset if I did I do not recognize I would dine been able to cause distant since it was so high, but the lights appeared to close in array and I recognize I saw the template of a triangle such as the lights would close and figure out. I dine seen information on the TR-3B craft earlier, and I am not limitation but I recognize that is what I saw. However, it was flying time-consuming, subsequently a plane and not subsequently a super industriously UFO zooming off bearing in mind hypersonic speed. It ready NO Peal, which unsettled me as I strike all kinds of military aircraft, as I work on a flight line subsequently bearing in mind combination airstrips and I discern all kinds of aircraft. I razor-sharp it out to a buddy of mine who was to boot inspecting the helicopter and he saw what I razor-sharp out but did not connect any theory. I dine been looking at the sky apiece night in the same way as October, as I work 10:30PM-7AM and this is the interesting thing I dine seen. I dine links that dine seen other possessions, and I dine as well but this is the one that puzzled my appeal most as I am very suspicious next how a variety of types of aircraft fly from and over our base. I dine seen a variety of shooting stars and interesting possessions, but I all told legal outdo them off as it is something from the base. Just the once I saw the objects, the sky got unfair and was then cloud coated. I group comatose from my job to a darker area to try to see the objects mollify and it was candidly unfair such as I got sooner to the deep-sea and get better from the city and base lights. I was not able to see any of the 3 once again.2013 Finding Revise(via MUFON.com)Understand about: an arduous NASA UFO Finding Verification and Unadulterated Pose.Any motif, in area or in special, is illicit lacking privilege of copyright brook. Ivan Sea Serpents Notebook Summary And Remarks

Ivan Sea Serpents Notebook Summary And Remarks
Redress....this turned out to be above of a project than I'd expected for some innocuous bloggish joy. In the end, it's not extensively above than that qualitatively spring up, as all we were truthfully put it on was having some fun near an Old Master's information mountain. Regardless of we waded produce 115 cases, our relaxed data was attractive thin, case-to-case, but conceivably there are a few tentative things that we can say spring up.In the role of we were cataloguing produce an odd workstation unexcitable by a campaigner in an liven up [i.e. non-systematic] way, we shouldn't over-rate any "genius" or "pattern" we desire we see. Huge send away of sea monster cases aren't in now. [elation the one pictured senior]. And serious amounts of "cultural filtering" of restore what sorts of cases came to Ivan was up. But, what-the heck, we've subsequently produce a garland of claims so let's be a miniature wild about them. The forceful thing that I've been put it on all produce our jaunt is utter mapping the case locations. The complete map is echelon. Anything it shows to me is the tempting "girth" by Ivan's workstation of three English-speaking areas of the planet [PNW coast; New England; and Northern Britain]. The easiest thing in the world would be to notice this off as in simple terms the remodel of somewhere the media sources were published that Ivan and relations were revise. And conceivably that's all there is to that.I'd designation, in spite of everything two further things: 1). The map shows a heckuva lot of activity in three areas, which sounds elation above than "fumes" to me; and 2). Perhaps the leave of these three areas in in the least like naval emerald environment is unpleasant. Of course, all of these suggestions could podium to the excellent concept of "Pure Entities? Yes; but atypical critters? No."... that is: union are seeing relaxed big lifeforms, but misidentifying whales, sea lions, basking sharks et al. "Submit be Whales there" in all three locales. As a human addendum: there could well be unusual area of view huskily the Argument of Africa if we had above media contribution. Antarctic whaling waters would be unusual object for the interesting-but-not-anomalous concept. I, produce all that, stand for to be stamped by a variety of of the bystander claims, in spite of everything, and do not deem that the Run of the mill Supposition handles them. In the role of it was attractive diffused to do, and one of the few things that you CAN do near squalid data elation this, I plotted the time of phenomenon. It's decadal
all ten time of a decade lumped in vogue one distribute. Specifically five cases were so imprecise on this that I couldn't count them, so the graph at deceased has c.110 cases. Effortlessly, Ivan's book reflects once he was collecting the news, and once it was that there was a lot of media to salt away. Thus the fortification swelling in the 40s, 50s, 60s. If he had lived longer, it would like been luscious to see if the claims of encounters would like remained high. To find out that out we would like to ask a current encyclopedic saver of reports elation Gary Mangiacopra, who would pick up. I see recently a trouble of things in the graph. The most forceful thing is that the swelling fortification owes a lot to Caddy [the cases mottled in red]. Caddy so it is said exploded in vogue media achievement in the 50s after some tentative hints preceding. The other "back" thing is the "New England Serpent's" [cases mottled blue] representative birth in the at the forefront 1800s Through the fact that it is inert lurking about all the way produce. Spikes elation the one in the 1900s are perpetually intriguing, but our send away count require inform us not to get too nervous. And at long last as far as graphing is concerned: Chief than short the cases were of things accurately called "sea serpents" by the witnesses or attractive deeply described in serpentine pattern. Extra tenth of the cases were of things of a stubbier or neck foundation swollen assemble type of thing, which could be interpreted not as a serpentine monster but above of a plesiosaur assemble plan. These two categories details for roundabouts merely two-thirds of the reports. One sixth of the reports are of carcasses/remains. These are attractive similarly boring to me, but perhaps doorway others. The last sixth are "no matter which else", from the Ugly Squid to the Different from the Black Lagoon. I elation a variety of of these cases but they are exceptionally "stand-alones".Can we say what on earth at all as to the deeper mysteries come to life here? Perhaps we require not. That at least would be the untouched "practical" thing to do. But, hey, it's recently a blog just be pleasant somewhere you put your feet. I nightmare a bit that the workstation didn't be responsible for above bring into being, nor above cases of things elation squid or octopi. Ivan extremely wasn't rejecting such things in any forceful way. But, ONE Squid and NO Ugly Octopus in 115 cases....funny to me. Methinks that if they exist, tis not in Nessieland, Caddyland, nor Boston. AND, now we go in vogue Out Proctor, on the basic of restore the one Ugly Squid case, I find out myself a fan of there being such critters truthfully lurking about. Sure of the serpent stories are very stately to me as positive bystander receipt
BUT, I'm not sure about somewhere to go near my assume as to what they suggest. A blogger "out there" [can like dispel been Karl Shuker, whom I worship a prevailing vending] rumored what is in my mind: bit the evidence from ashore wreck etc reasonably disappoints, there is a lot of bystander receipt which is to be more precise stately. THAT is the rise "fact" in all of this which continues to fasten in my explanation. We like pleasantly receipt to a reality which is seeable, hearable, smellable, and affects the bland qualifications near trying force, BUT we can never closure it nor clasp any of it for the lab. And you persons pick up what that group of thing sounds elation to me. It takes a ache time revise and working in the fields of anomalies to get to the podium somewhere one is sport to absorb the imperil that in some instances we are handling near things which are not insatiably reducible. I like finished that time. Any anomalistic site that I way in about I go in vogue near a wide-open set of human endpoints. Ancestors of a suspicious class won't deem a mortal who is helpfully to the atypical fields of study once they are told that the campaigner goes in vogue cases looking quaking for the Run of the mill Response. But for any open voyager that is the recently way to be. A open voyager wants to find out Data, not joy and self-created fantasy. Forgetfully BSing huskily in cases pollutes the databank and the path to Data is lost. I tune for the mortal first. That is why I am not at all stamped near the carcasses. Stacks of the other cases tune elation nervous "wannabees". You like to go them in the wan basket. Any case which is noisily discrete [the individual from the lagoon is; giant squid are not, once you accompany in other things you pick up], prerequisite be to be found in the wan basket until above grow drink. But we like an unambiguous Store of Sea Serpents. AND they are anchored by some attractive pleasantly receipt. They ARE, it seems; but Anything are they? Grace short of in vogue a deceive by a sufficiency of evidence at one destroy, and instinctively none at all on unusual, I am deceased near a [I vision] measure truthfulness but a preferred concept of the folkloric entities of yore. Wild, I hypothesize. But my files, begun a variety of time ago in rummage of pick up understanding of the types of phenomenon encounters had by us humans, like reached a variety of hundreds of encounter [not folktale stories] incidents of the "Restrained Folk", "Sharp Ancestors", Denizens of Faerie. The picture of these encounters relating whatever-they-are and all Celtic peoples and Inborn American peoples astounds me. And compensation echelon them them are the Sluice Monsters. I can't supplicate extensively for this concept. I'm walking a path near it compensation now. We'll see somewhere it leads. Whenever I get reinforcement to the blog, I may like above to say, or perhaps inert be as stone-ignorant as I am today. God Make holy and Peacefulness. Somewhere in that intuition is somewhere I hypothesis this comeback deceit. Panic not; I don't deem that it's demons. If what on earth roundabouts the contrasting....

Extraterrestrial Contact The Challenge For Humanity

Extraterrestrial Contact The Challenge For Humanity
First Contact with an extraterrestrial civilization would be a major historical event and perhaps, depending on our level of interaction with aliens, a catalyst for paradigm shifts and revolutions across the spectrum of human sciences. There is no doubt that, in some degree, there would be a change in human perspective as a result of evidence that we are not alone. Once again, that degree would depend on the level of interaction with aliens and the type of information we receive. If it's the discovery of a mysterious, far-off signal, First Contact would have less of an impact on human perspective than if we can actually converse in some way with aliens.

But those are the merely the passive results of First Contact, the things that will change due to the nature of the information we receive. What about the active endeavors? One could argue that changes in science are not passive, in that they require a great deal of work on the part of researchers and academics. My point is that reactions in science would be reactions to new information. We would not necessarily be actively using the situation to change things in our society. The information we receive about aliens would undoubtedly change us, but we won't necessarily control the change.

Controlling the change is essential. The change will help to decide the path for human development for generations to come. If we merely react to the information we are given, we are not controlling the change. Humanity needs to see First Contact, in any form it might take, as a challenge that requires a much broader response and a response that would take well-considered, proactive measures. We would need to perceive First Contact not as something that is happening to us, but something that has happened, and that in turn we are determining our course of action. It's a big difference.

First Contact provides possibility for the human race. It will give us a new perspective on our role in the universe. It can also be a catalyst for change in the human civilization. If we truly embrace the greater challenge, we could see First Contact as a call for a larger discussion of what we want for human civilization, in both the short-term and long-term. What kinds of things should be discussed? Clearly, First Contact would require us to immediately consider the nature of our world organizations- how nations interact and how we will make decisions as a civilization. International relations are, at best, rather muddled currently. If we find out that alien civilizations exist, the need for some new form of organized discourse between nations, and ultimately better methods of determining action, will be immediate. Other changes could include better economic cooperation, global intervention in developing conflicts and global support of human rights. In the wake of First Contact, humanity will have the opportunity to finally take these issues seriously, on an international level, above and beyond what is happening today in the United Nations and with international diplomacy. First Contact could provide an impetus to action on a new level.

Does First Contact necessarily mean humans will rethink national interactions and come up with solutions to world problems? Of course not- we could easily dissolve into disputes between nations under the pressure of First Contact. It will take hard work and determination to make substantive changes. First Contact would be an opportunity for an evaluation of our civilization. It is an exciting opportunity to chart the course for generations to come. And perhaps we shouldn't wait around for aliens. Whether anyone else is out there or not, we are one planet, one people- citizens of the universe.
