The China Academy of Engineering Physics (or CAEP) released a statement Sunday about the development of a "highly accurate laser gun that can disable light-weigh drones and UFOs breaching its airspace." Reportedly, the device has a range 1.2 miles, according to the report.
To bolster its claims of the laser weapon's capability, China officials showed the results of a demonstration; the Xinhau News Agency for the People's Republic of China released images of large camouflaged metal boxes. They juxtaposed them with pictures from the wreckage of a purported compact drone which was in flames.

China's laser-guided weapons systems was developed to "play a key role in ensuring security during major events in urban areas" and respond to "unlicensed mapping activities," this according to the state-run press agency. The current hardware has limited capability and is only effective for slower-flying drones and unidentified flying objects with maximum speeds 112 mph. China's robust military plans to use the new laser weaponry to target unmanned UFOs of commercial construction that can be modified and used as weapons by terror groups.
Yi Jinsong, a manager with China Jiuyuan Hi-Tech Equipment Corp. explains.
"Intercepting such drones is usually the work of snipers and helicopters, but their success rate is not as high and mistakes with accuracy can result in unwanted damage."The compact laser guns were tested with "100 percent accuracy," and are said to have recently shot down nearly three dozen drones. Officials say the cannons can be installed on terrain vehicles and deployed in theater. Reportedly, larger and more robust systems are in development, but that information remains classified.
Some say the timing of China's new laser weapons is suspect, and comes on the heels of the West release compelling footage of its Naval fleet capability to shoot down large aircraft over greater distances - all at a cost of 1 per use. Reportedly, like its Russian ally, China is supposedly in a quiet arms race on Earth and in space with the United States. It's unknown if the latest report was propaganda or part of the flow of information expected in new technology releases. Should the Obama Administration be worried about this latest development?

On August 9th, 2013, I reported seeing at about 10:10 PM, twenty orange lights moving West to East, one at a time, spaced about 90 seconds apart, over Ipswich Bay in Gloucester, MA, then past our house heading over land. They had no sound, showed no type of aircraft navigation lights or strobe lights, and the orange light looked like a landing light, except it was clearly orange, not white. There was no sign of a visible structure even when I looked with binoculars. Last night, August 10th, we were at a concert in Rockport, MA, about three miles in a straight line from the first sighting. It was about 9 PM. We went outdoors to watch an impending fireworks display on the other side of Sandy Bay. The Bay was filled with stationary boats waiting for the fireworks. Over the next fifteen minutes, we saw five more of the same objects performing in the same way, this time spaced about three minutes apart. That is, they were flying low, one at a time, following the exact same course as the previous one, this time about North to South. In this sighting, we could see where they first came into view. They originated low on the other side of the Bay, implying that they were at a very low altitude. They flew overhead and to our right until they disappeared behind the buildings in back of us on Rockports Main Street. We were surrounded by about ten to fifteen people who were also waiting for the fireworks. No one appeared to notice the orange lights. If we hadnt seen the same thing the night before, we probably wouldnt have paid attention either.

SCOTTSBURG - Following a spate of UFO SIGHTINGS across southern Indiana Wednesday, debate has intensified once more over whether or not intelligent life exists inside the Hoosier State.
Several disc-shaped crafts hovering over Scottsburg, Indiana were reported to local media yesterday, while as many as three Hoosiers claimed to have been kidnapped briefly by extraterrestrials.
According to psychologists at Indiana University, the claims appear to add weight to the argument that the state is devoid of any sort of sophisticated lifeforms.
"When you have almost two hundred people coming forward to report visions of flying saucers and advanced alien beings, eventually you start to sit up and take notice," said Professor Melissa Short. "It's a clear indication that the vast population of intelligent living organisms we once thought existed on the surface of present day Indiana may not exist after all."

Most is in pdf format and takes a while to download, but there is some interesting stuff there if you have lots of time to spare. It goes right back to Winston Churchill's day and - after a UFO sighting being reported - ordered that, "This event should be immediately classified since it would create mass panic and destroy the Church."
However, I've picked out something from the files to write about which doesn't involve UFOs. This is about precognition in a dream.
In 1990 a man - whose name has been removed from the files - travelled to the RAF (Royal Air Force) Base in Stanmore, Middlesex. He wanted to warn the guards about a dream he had.
His dream was about a terror attack which was to take place at an RAF base. The man ended up being questioned by police for his troubles.
Exactly one month later, to the day, RAF police confirmed that RAF Stanmore had been bombed. A bomb had been hidden in a rucksack and exploded, the IRA were initially thought of as being responsible.
This was all verified by the MOD (Ministry of Defence). In an answer to a question raised their spokesperson stated, "I can confirm that (name blacked out) did visit RAF Stanmore sometime before the 1990 bomb attack occurred and was interviewed by an RAF
policeman. There was no question of him being arrested."

Previous research has shown that asteroids are loose piles of rubble held together by gravity and friction. However, the UT team found that 1950 DA is spinning so quickly that it defies these forces. Ben Rozitis, a postdoctoral researcher; Eric MacLennan, a doctoral candidate; and Joshua Emery, an assistant professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, wanted to know what keeps the body from breaking apart.
Looking at thermal images and orbital drift to calculate thermal inertia and bulk density, the team detected the action of cohesive forces in an environment with little gravity.
"We found that 1950 DA is rotating faster than the breakup limit for its density," said Rozitis. "So if just gravity were holding this rubble pile together, as is generally assumed, it would fly apart. Therefore, interparticle cohesive forces must be holding it together."
In fact, the rotation is so fast that at its equator, 1950 DA effectively experiences negative gravity. If an astronaut were to attempt to stand on this surface, he or she would fly off into space unless he or she were somehow anchored.
The presence of cohesive forces has been predicted in small asteroids, but definitive evidence has never been seen before.
The finding provides important information for efforts aimed at stopping an asteroid from crashing into Earth.
"Following the February 2013 asteroid impact in Chelyabinsk, Russia, there is renewed interest in figuring out how to deal with the potential hazard of an asteroid impact," said Rozitis. "Understanding what holds these asteroids together can inform strategies to guard against future impacts."
This research reveals some potential techniques, such as a kinetic impactor which would deploy a massive object on a collision course with the asteroid, could exacerbate the impact's effects. For example, this technique could destabilize the cohesive forces keeping the asteroid together, causing it to break apart into several threatening asteroids headed for Earth.
This may be what occurred with the asteroid P/2013 R3, which was caught by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2013 and 2014 coming undone, possibly due to a collision with a meteor.
"With such tenuous cohesive forces holding one of these asteroids together, a very small impulse may result in a complete disruption," said Rozitis.
The researchers' findings also have implications for space exploration. For example, the European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft landed on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko's surface last week and it may find a dusty surface dominated by such cohesive forces.

Here is one of the famous messages from 1977 which is probably known by many of you, the "Ashtar Command" who supposedly hijacked BBC transmitters and send this message. (I did some research and it is most listed as a "possible" hoax ( not "proven"), but there are still no explanation on how it was made or who made it, so it is still seen as an unexplained phenomena. "Mention must be made here of an event that startled several thousands of TV watchers in Southern England. At 5.06pm, just as the news was being read on Saturday evening, 26 November 1977, a deep voice, accompanied by an eerie booming sound likened to a "hollow drumming", drowned out the newscaster's voice and delivered a short message...
"This is the voice of Asteron. I am an authorised representative of the Intergalactic Mission, and I have a message for planet Earth. We are beginning to enter the period of Aquarius and there are many corrections which have to be made by Earth People. All your weapons of evil must be destroyed.
