A pilot who contributes articles to "New York Daily News", recently wrote an article about UFOs and commercial pilots, and he included his own incredible UFO sighting.
The title of the article is "Do pilots believe in UFOs? Many of them do and here is my close encounter story," and it is written by Andrew Danziger. According to "New York Daily News", Danziger is a 28 year airline veteran. He has served as a captain on international flights for the last 14 years. He has also been an instructor, and was even one of President Obama's pilots during the 2008 campaign.

Danziger says many pilots have shared UFO stories with him, and he claims "virtually all pilots believe in UFOs." He says they are skeptical when it comes to alien abductions and little green men, but, as Danziger puts it, "with billions of stars and trillions of planets out there, 'ya gotta believe', and almost all of us do."
His sighting took place in 1989, and in the article he gives every detail. Instead of trying to summarize it, I thought it would be best just to share it in his words. People love to ask pilots questions. But my favorite, and certainly the most interesting, is "Have you ever seen a UFO while flying?"
The answer is yes. And here's how it happened.
It was April 10, 1989 and early in my career. I was still a first officer at a regional airline. It was about 8 p.m. and we had just taken off from Kansas City International Airport bound for Waterloo, Iowa. It was a beautiful evening, with a full moon, clear skies and crisp early spring temperatures. The weather forecast for Waterloo was as nice, with clear skies and unlimited visibility.

After a short taxi and take-off, Air Traffic Control (ATC) cleared us to our cruise altitude of 15,000 feet. We established a Northeasterly heading, pointed strait at Waterloo, about 200 miles ahead. There were thin wispy clouds all around us, illuminated by the light of the full moon that shone through the captain's-side window at our left. Despite the presence of these clearly visible wispy clouds everywhere, we weren't flying through any of them. There was also a white disc dimly but clearly visible through those clouds just off to our right.
We flew on and I commented to Bruce, the captain, about this dimly visible disc. He said that he'd been watching the same thing since we had leveled off. It looked similar to the moon faintly visible though thin fog, except the two were visible at the same time on opposite sides of our cockpit. We looked down below for search lights, you know, the kind that's sometimes used for aerial light displays or advertising at a car dealer, but there was no beam of light coming from the ground, no search light from an airport either. The captain and I had cumulatively spent many years flying and were accustomed to seeing - day and night - all manner of airplane, blimp, hot air balloon, satellite and bird. But neither of us had any idea what this disc could be.

We spent 20 to 30 minutes at our cruise altitude, all the while staring at this white disc dimly visible through some clouds that we somehow never seemed to fly through. Within about 40 miles of Waterloo, ATC confirmed the weather, still clear skies and unrestricted visibility at our destination as we began to descend. We got busy with our flying duties and for a short while, maybe for a minute, both of us had looked away from the disc, but when I looked up at it again I saw something that has been burned into my memory.
I yelled to Bruce, "Holy s-t." He immediately looked over from what he was doing. Above the clouds, where the white disc had been, was a now giant red ball. It was big and bright and just sat there above the clouds. It wasn't intense enough to illuminate us with a red glow but it was still plenty bright. We sat there in stunned silence. We obviously didn't want to hit it but quickly saw that it was flying parallel to our course. We weren't on a collision course and we also weren't gaining on it. Time became a blur as we continued our descent, this giant, red ball holding its course.
We slowly lost altitude and at around 13,000 feet, the brightly glowing ball began a gradual descent, too. As it did, it slowly started disappearing behind those wispy clouds. In about 30 seconds, like a setting sun but not nearly as bright, it vanished behind the clouds. The instant it fully disappeared, hundreds of lights began flashing from within the clouds.
As I looked on in disbelief, the flashing lights were brighter than ever and I could see that the section of the cloud that the glowing red ball had descended behind was starting to stretch apart like a piece of "Silly Putty," two halves being pulled slowly apart with the middle getting thinner and thinner. This continued until the halves grew so thin that it tore apart and, pop! Everything was gone. The dimly lit disc, the flashing lights, the thin wispy clouds that we had with us for the last 40 minutes; all of it, gone. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. Only the full moon remained off to our left.
Bruce and I just looked at each other. "Oh my God, what the f-k was that", was all I could muster. My colleague just stared out the windscreen, mesmerized. We discussed whether we should report what we had just witnessed. After a few minutes, I picked up the radio mic and asked the Kansas City Center controller if they had anything on radar. "Nope, nothing but you," came the response. "No, not right now but a couple minutes ago, at our one to two o'clock," I replied. "No," he repeated, "It's a slow night. I've got the entire sector between Kansas City and Waterloo and you're all that's been in it for the last hour." Bruce and I again just looked at each other, completely dumbfounded. "So for the last say 40 minutes or so you've had no traffic at all, not at our one or two o'clock?" I asked. "No sir, not at your one or two o'clock, not anywhere, you're all there is," he assured us.

A minute or so later, from over the radio came, "Air Midwest, do you want to report a UFO?" We looked at each other for a couple seconds and Bruce nodded his head. "Yes sir, we do," I finally replied. "OK, take down this number and call when you get on the ground."
After deplaning we called the number. "National UFO Reporting Center" said the voice from the other end. At the time I didn't even know such a place existed, but they took collect calls from pilots and air traffic controllers. Bruce told the person on the other end of the line that we wanted to report a UFO. We were interviewed separately, first the captain and then me. When my interview was finished the man on the other end of the line said that we would never hear from him again and would never receive any additional information, this was going to be our first and only contact regarding the sighting. I asked, "Can I ask just one question, do you think we're crazy, has anyone else ever reported something like this?"
"Oh no, you're not crazy at all," he replied. "This very same thing has been reported by pilots countless times." And while neither of us had any idea what we had saw one thing we were certain of, it wasn't from here.
Our airline had no official UFO policy (nor did any that I ever worked for), but at the time we were both young with long and promising careers in front of us. We knew through the grapevine that pilots weren't supposed to talk about UFOs so we swore the station agent on duty to secrecy and agreed not to talk about our incident to any of our co-workers.
That was more than 25 years ago. Today I'm older, wiser and at the end of my career. In my last few years of flying the subject of UFOs occasionally came up in the cockpit. If it was brought up at all, it was usually by a younger, newer first officer who'd say something with much trepidation. More than a few pilots have shared their UFO stories with me, too. I'm not going too far out on a ledge to say that virtually all pilots believe in UFOs. Little green men, "close encounters", alien kidnappings, not so much, but with billions of stars and trillions of planets out there, "ya gotta believe", and almost all of us do.

Sometimes the UFO investigation business is pretty quiet... and then in a flash it heats up hotter than the hottest part of a super-hot supernova. And today I'm breaking out the Coppertone.
First off, after requesting more UFO Field Investigation cases be sent my way, my State Director has just handed me four cases to look into. Four! It seems some rookie Investigator decided he couldn't take the heat and dropped all his cases, leaving yours truly to pick up the pieces, as usual.
Then, due in large part to my "enthusiasm (see above) and report writing skills," my MUFON State Director has asked me to take on the position of State Section Director for the south-central-eastish section of Wisconsin, and I have accepted. Naturally, once I accepted the position I thought it would be a good idea to read up on what I had just volunteered to do. That's the sign of a natural-born leader.
Here's how the MUFON Field Investigator's Manual describes the responsibilities of a State Section Director (SSD):
"Having assembled a cadre of trained investigators within a geographic area, the State Director should strongly consider recommending one of the individuals for appointment to the supervisory position of State Section Director. (On occasion, a person with leadership potential communicates his/her credentials directly to the International Director. In that circumstance, the State Director may be asked to concur in appointing the individual to a Section Director position.)"
"As the first level of supervisory responsibility, Section Directors have specific duties and functions within their geographic areas (usually one or more counties dependent on population density and geographical location proximity.)"
"After the state is substantially organized, and given the particular strengths of the State Director, it is advisable to recommend the appointment of one or more Assistant State Directors for geographical areas and a Chief Investigator."
Okay, so that doesn't actually tell me all that much about the position. To be more precise, it tells me nothing. Fortunately, State Director Vxxxx tells me that her State Director's Handbook has this to say:
"A State Section Director is responsible for managing the field investigators and volunteers in the counties under their supervision....and reviewing investigation case reports from their area to ensure accuracy and completeness."
One word: Cakewalk.
Vxxxx was nice enough to offer me a choice of sections to be chief of: the the south-central section a little in the middle of the state, or the south-central section more to the east. I chose the latter section, which includes my home county of Jefferson, as well the UFO-happy counties of Walworth, Waukesha and Milwaukee (see map). It wasn't that hard to choose, actually, as Walworth County is the home of the Burlington Vortex, and the territory encompassing Walworth and Jefferson Counties is known Bigfoot country. UFOs, Vortexes, Bigfoots: the perfect trifecta!

This promotion suits my ambitions to a T. You see all those pretty counties? Someday soon they will all be under my supervision. Then someday soon after that, the entire country will be under my supervision. That's right, I will be able to tell the entire country -- all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and all those other places we own -- what to do, and it will have no choice but to listen!

UFOlogists often go on and on about incidents such as Roswell because they seem to support theories of extraterrestrial life. However, it is likely that MOST UFO cases are not, in fact, of extraterrestrial origin. They are simply unknown aerial craft. To wit, cases like Kecksburg - with its ties to Nazi Germany's "Die Glocke" and the United States' "Operation Paperclip" - are far more compelling mysteries. Just how many UFO's were actually German, Japanese, and even Russian spy craft? And did they, as some claim, gain their inspirations from otherworldly vessels?"Die Glocke" or "The Bell" was reportedly born from the minds of Nazi scientists during World War II when the tide was turning against the once-almighty German forces who became desperate for a final solution. Much energy and money was expended on more and more outlandish (some would say crazy) research and expeditions, often involving the Third Reich's strange obsession with occultism and paranormal phenomena. Deep within an underground compound in Poland known as "Der Riese" (The Giant), the Nazis reportedly crafted a metallic, bell-shaped instrument that stood nearly 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide with odd markings along the lower rim. Within was a strange substance known as "Xerum 525" that glowed strangely violet when excited and gave off strong levels of radiation. Many of the scientists working on the project died either from radiation sickness or at the hands of SS officers bent of maintaining the projects secrecy.The Bell's purpose remains unclear. Some believe, the intense radiation was capable of manipulating time-space for the purposes of time/space travel or to produce anti-gravitational fields. Sadly the reason so much speculation surrounds the device - if authentic - is because its story is only known because of one man: Polish writer Igor Witkowski wrote about the device in "Prawda O Wunderwaffe", his little-known book published in 2000. He claimed to have seen secret documents compiled from the interrogation of SS General Jakob Sporrenberg. The story was picked up in the English-speaking realm by British author and journalist Nick Cook who wrote about it in his 2003 book "The Hunt for Zero Point". But, sadly, much of the facts are uncorroborated and outlandish claims of a design process using clairvoyants makes it hard to swallow - even factoring in Nazi eccentricities.Other factors, such as the purported test facility known as "The Henge" (proved to be the foundation of a cooling tower), were debunked in short order.However, that's not to say there are not still some strange facets to the tale. While the veracity of The Bell's existence may not be anything to bet one's life on, it is well-known that in the aftermath of World War II that German scientists were recruited by both the US and Soviet Union. One of these individuals, the Nazi scientist responsible for Germany's ground-breaking early rocket efforts (such as the V2), later worked his way high into the ranks of the US space program in the 1960's.Then on December 9, 1965 a fiery object was reported to have crashed to earth in the woods near Kecksburgh, PA. When local authorities arrived on scene, they were struck to find an acorn (or bell) shaped object about the size of a small car, circumscribed with strange markings at its base. Witnesses later testified that the army arrived, loaded the object onto a truck, ordered the civilians to clear the area, and then later disavowed any knowledge of the incident. Speculation abounded: UFO, Soviet satellite, meteor...While it is hard to say what actually happened (some astronomers dispute that the object seen over several states could have crashed in Pennsylvania), it is curious to note two things. First, the strong resemblance to The Bell (albeit such knowledge only arose in the year 2000, prior to Kecksburg). Secondly, the fact that a former Nazi scientist with ties to the Die Glocke era was heading up components of the US space program at the time. It might be possible that these early Nazi experiments had continued on into the space age as the US continued to seek the edge throughout the cold war. While in my gut I think "The Bell" is a total "ex post facto" construct, conveniently using the Kecksburg template to work backward to a secret Nazi invention, it could still be that this mystery has a better chance at resolution than Roswell ever will. If fabricated, it would only take the destruction of Witkowski's claims. After all, if he saw these transcripts then they must exist and could be tracked down. For him to claim only he saw them and they will never be seen again, is a sure sign that another work of UFO fiction has been penned for the eager to lap up thirstily. However, there remains the outside chance that, while still mired in more crap than a pig farmer, there exists some truth to this Nazi super weapon. Even if it turned out to be nothing more than a failed attempt at a satellite weapon, rocket, or flying bomb, it would have further proven that UFO's can often be explained by far more terrestrial means.
I have been waking up at 11pm every night for about 30-40 days now! I go outside to smoke cigarettes! As I go to smoke I see lights in the sky almost look like stars. But only thing that makes me think it's different is that I see planes fly over everyday and I see what the lights look like! Also there are helicopters that hover over the freeway/ hwy so I see what they look like! The light I have been seeing are 3 spread across the NW/ North/ NE they stay hovering sometimes getting close to each other! But it seems like they use there lights like code blinking colors at each other! Honestly strange to watch I tryed filming it with my phone but it goes to static! The other day I was having a bbq and seen lights on the mountain just above it! Going on and off. We thought it was a truck on the top of the hill but the very next night my sister and I stood outside talking about the lights we seen because we seen light that looked similar but on the mountain to the right what got our attention was when orange lights went from left to right over the top of the two lights then they shut off one by one then each light went low then out?! Idk what to think so I thought I would send this in.

SPIRAL UFO PUTS NORWAY IN A SPIN
A MYSTERIOUS giant spiral of light that dominated the sky over Norway this morning has stunned experts - who believe the space spectacle is an entirely new astral phenomenon.
Thousands of awe-struck Norwegians bombarded the Meteorological Institute to ask what the incredible light - that could be seen in the pre-dawn sky for hundreds of miles - could possibly be.
The phenomenon has been dubbed 'STAR-GATE' - as the world's top scientists and the military lined up to admit they were baffled.
THEORIES RANGING FROM A MISFIRED RUSSIAN MISSILE, METEOR FIREBALL, NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN TYPE OF NORTHERN LIGHT, 'BLACK HOLE' AND EVEN ALIEN ACTIVITY WERE ALL PROPOSED.
Witnesses across Norway, who first glimpsed the space show at 8.45am, all described seeing a spinning 'Catherine wheel-style' spiral of white light, centred around a bright moon-like star.
A blue "streaming tail" appeared to anchor the spiral to earth, before the light "exploded" into a rotating ring of white fire.
The spiral spectacle - which lasted for two minutes - was seen by vast swathes of the Scandinavian country's almost five million population, with sightings as far north as Finnmark to Trondelag in the south.
Totto Eriksen, from Tromso, in northern Norway, was one of the thousands who bombarded Norwegian newspapers with sightings - after nearly crashing his car on spotting the spiral overhead.
He said: "I was driving my daughter to school when this light spun and exploded in the sky.
"We saw it from the Inner Harbour in Tromso. It looked like a rocket that spun around and around - and then went diagonally across the heavens.
"It looked like the moon was coming over the mountain - but then turned into something totally different.
"People just stopped and stared on the pier - it was like something from a Hollywood movie."
Axel Berg, from Alta, also in the north of the country, added: "It was like a giant spiral - a shooting star that spun around and around.
"I initially thought it was a projector but then the 'tail light' left and the spiral remained spinning still."
Norway's most celebrated astronomer, Knut Jorgen Roed Odegaard, said he had never seen anything like the spiral before.
He said: "This was seen over an exceptionally large area of the country - in all of north Norway and the Trondelag.
"My first thought was that it was a fireball meteor - but it lasted far too long.
"It may have been a missile from Russia - but I can't guarantee that is the answer.
"I rang the Air Traffic Control tower in Tromse. They said it was over in two minutes. To me, that is far too long for this to be an astronomical phenomenon.
"This spiral shape is unique. It is definitely not a variation of the aurora borealis - northern lights."
Chief Scientist Erik Tandberg, at the Norwegian Space Centre, said that he too was "totally amazed" by the spiral.
He agreed with many other experts that the spiral pattern could have been caused by a missile from Russia - something the Russian military have strongly denied.
Dr Tandberg said: "I agree with everyone in the science community that this light was the weirdest thing. I have never seen anything like this ever.
"It may have been anything from an exploding missile whose launch went wrong - to a comet or other celestial object that for some reason has been behaving strangely.
"If it was a missile - most likely from the launch base in Pletsevsk in Russia or one of the Russian submarines or even from the European Space Agency base in Kiruna - then we are talking about a rocket launch that has gone wrong.
"The spiral suggests the object came off course and balance and entered the spiral movement. Leaking rocket fuel could account for the blue light.
"But I know that the military have denied this explanation. So we could be looking at an entirely new natural phenomenon."

A MAN IN BLACK, AN IMPLANT AND A BEAUTIFUL MIND

"A Beautiful Mind" directed by Ron Howard in 2001, starring Russel Crowe and Ed Harris, not only gives us the less known details from the life of renowned mathematician John Nash, but also opens up a very clear page of the Cold War years where panaoia seized the mind of the masses. The end of the Second World War saw the beginning of new worries such as the nuclear threat, worldwide spy conspiracies and a possible invasion by Communists... or from Extra Terrestrials when the new UFO age began with the Roswell crash case.
This was the outer world of John Nash in the 1950's. But according to this movie, his inner world seems to be much more complex than his outer one. "A Beautiful Mind" takes us first to his Princeton years where he quickly became recognized as a young genius, although he is socially very ackward. His friendly roommate Charles offers him companianship and soon becomes his only link to the outer world where normal people do normal things. Young John Nash claimes that he doesn't like people, and people don't like him. Only a little girl, Charles's niece, brings some joy into his life.
When John Nash graduates from Princeton we see him on a special mission in the Pentagon as a successful code breaker. After that, "Big Brother" William Parcher enters in his life and his mind. William Parcher is a typical man in black (MIB) that we know very well from UFO literature. Cold, controlling, demanding and scary. He has a kind of artificial look with his pale skin and ice blue eyes. He wears the classic black hat and suit, and drives a black car. This MIB offers Nash a chance to become a vital member of a secret operation against the Russians, who are trying to explode a portable atomic bomb in the United States. John immediately accepts this top secret mission without considering the consequences.
In a secret facility John is given a radium implant in his arm which can only be seen under a special light. The implant makes him a total spy of the black ops. And all he has to do is study magazines and newspapers in order to detect the secret codes the communists use to communicate with each other via advertisements, articles and headlines. John starts to look for the hidden messages, cutting out and collecting thousands of newspapers. He comes to believe that Russian agents are after him. While he frantically tries to serve the government and save the country under the pressure of MIB Parcher, he is diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Roommate Charles, his niece Marcie and MIB Parcher never visit John when there are other people around. In fact nobody sees and knows them except John himself. Time passes and everybody gets older but they always stay the same age. Because they are not real humans. But what or who are they? Do these mysterious people only exist in John Nash's reality, which is shaped by schizophrenia.? Or do they come from another dimension? The dilemma is this: was John Nash contacted by some otherworldy beings or was all this the symptom of his schizophrenia?
And what about spiritual possesion? Could it be another explanation for this case? What we see in John Nash's life fits exactly with what we also see in paranormal, spirit and demonic possesion cases. When one or more non-human beings or entities start to command and control the human brain, mind and soul, the possession can cause heavy emotional and physical damage. The possesed person can believe that he or she is chosen by the superior beings for a very important mission such as saving the world from a disaster or from enemies. He keeps talking, seeing, answering the beings who cause the possesion and lives under their control.
Today we know very well that not all of the Alien abduction or UFO contact cases are real. Depending on various reasons, a spirit possession could mistakenly be interpreted as an Alien-ET contact as most of the times it is difficult to see the diffirence, especially at the beginning. The spirit or being posseses the human, and can convince him that the contact has Extra Terrestrial UFOlogical sources. Another common point is that many of the supposed ET-UFO contactees have no scientific background which would help them to evaluate the reality of the contact.
Sometimes this kind of possession is not limited to only one person. A group of believers come together and create the UFO cults where the chosen one is seen as the "New Age Savior" sent by the Extra Terrestrials. The chosen one starts to channel and writes thousands of pages of messages from his contact. Generally the channeled messages are a mix of philosophy and religious information; they lack of the scientific touch and they repeat themselves: "Love each other", "You are all brothers and sisters", "We are your space brothers", "We'll be landing soon to take you to our planet" are very well known types of messages in this field. In fact the channelling process is only the reflection of the personal inner expectations and hopes. And it has nothing to do with real Extra Terrestrials. But the alleged "contactee" believes that his contact MIB chases him, controls and reads his mind, government agents are listening to his phone calls and monitoring his emails, while his space brothers keep leading him on with new landing dates.
John Nash believed that he was hired for a secret government project. He also believed that he was given an implant. Later he tried to remove it but when he cut himself there was nothing in his arm. As we know, in many cases Extra Terrestrials claim that they remove the implants before they can be detected by X-Rays. Did the same thing happen to John Nash? After travelling about 100 yards passed us, they would gently flicker and then were gone. I inquired with my local news channel but got no response, and no one seemed to be airing any news of this. I took several photos, some on my Canon, others on my cell, but no one seems to know what this was. I googled it and found that at roughly the same time, the same thing occurred in New York State as well...also New Zealand, London, Illinois, and Texas that same weekend. Wtf? I am including the 3 pics I took from my cell, but the poor quality causes the lights to look streaked, which they were not. I have a few that I took with my Canon as well that I would be glad to share if needed. (Don't have it with me here at work).
