A pilot who contributes articles to "New York Daily News", recently wrote an article about UFOs and commercial pilots, and he included his own incredible UFO sighting.
The title of the article is "Do pilots believe in UFOs? Many of them do and here is my close encounter story," and it is written by Andrew Danziger. According to "New York Daily News", Danziger is a 28 year airline veteran. He has served as a captain on international flights for the last 14 years. He has also been an instructor, and was even one of President Obama's pilots during the 2008 campaign.

Danziger says many pilots have shared UFO stories with him, and he claims "virtually all pilots believe in UFOs." He says they are skeptical when it comes to alien abductions and little green men, but, as Danziger puts it, "with billions of stars and trillions of planets out there, 'ya gotta believe', and almost all of us do."
His sighting took place in 1989, and in the article he gives every detail. Instead of trying to summarize it, I thought it would be best just to share it in his words. If you appreciate Danziger sharing his story, as I do, be sure to go to the story on "New York Daily News" and tell him you appreciate his article.
Here is his UFO encounter:
People love to ask pilots questions. But my favorite, and certainly the most interesting, is "Have you ever seen a UFO while flying?"
The answer is yes. And here's how it happened.
It was April 10, 1989 and early in my career. I was still a first officer at a regional airline. It was about 8 p.m. and we had just taken off from Kansas City International Airport bound for Waterloo, Iowa. It was a beautiful evening, with a full moon, clear skies and crisp early spring temperatures. The weather forecast for Waterloo was as nice, with clear skies and unlimited visibility.

After a short taxi and take-off, Air Traffic Control (ATC) cleared us to our cruise altitude of 15,000 feet. We established a Northeasterly heading, pointed strait at Waterloo, about 200 miles ahead. There were thin wispy clouds all around us, illuminated by the light of the full moon that shone through the captain's-side window at our left. Despite the presence of these clearly visible wispy clouds everywhere, we weren't flying through any of them. There was also a white disc dimly but clearly visible through those clouds just off to our right.
We flew on and I commented to Bruce, the captain, about this dimly visible disc. He said that he'd been watching the same thing since we had leveled off. It looked similar to the moon faintly visible though thin fog, except the two were visible at the same time on opposite sides of our cockpit. We looked down below for search lights, you know, the kind that's sometimes used for aerial light displays or advertising at a car dealer, but there was no beam of light coming from the ground, no search light from an airport either. The captain and I had cumulatively spent many years flying and were accustomed to seeing - day and night - all manner of airplane, blimp, hot air balloon, satellite and bird. But neither of us had any idea what this disc could be.

We spent 20 to 30 minutes at our cruise altitude, all the while staring at this white disc dimly visible through some clouds that we somehow never seemed to fly through. Within about 40 miles of Waterloo, ATC confirmed the weather, still clear skies and unrestricted visibility at our destination as we began to descend. We got busy with our flying duties and for a short while, maybe for a minute, both of us had looked away from the disc, but when I looked up at it again I saw something that has been burned into my memory.
I yelled to Bruce, "Holy s-t." He immediately looked over from what he was doing. Above the clouds, where the white disc had been, was a now giant red ball. It was big and bright and just sat there above the clouds. It wasn't intense enough to illuminate us with a red glow but it was still plenty bright. We sat there in stunned silence. We obviously didn't want to hit it but quickly saw that it was flying parallel to our course. We weren't on a collision course and we also weren't gaining on it. Time became a blur as we continued our descent, this giant, red ball holding its course.
We slowly lost altitude and at around 13,000 feet, the brightly glowing ball began a gradual descent, too. As it did, it slowly started disappearing behind those wispy clouds. In about 30 seconds, like a setting sun but not nearly as bright, it vanished behind the clouds. The instant it fully disappeared, hundreds of lights began flashing from within the clouds.
As I looked on in disbelief, the flashing lights were brighter than ever and I could see that the section of the cloud that the glowing red ball had descended behind was starting to stretch apart like a piece of "Silly Putty," two halves being pulled slowly apart with the middle getting thinner and thinner. This continued until the halves grew so thin that it tore apart and, pop! Everything was gone. The dimly lit disc, the flashing lights, the thin wispy clouds that we had with us for the last 40 minutes; all of it, gone. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. Only the full moon remained off to our left.
Bruce and I just looked at each other. "Oh my God, what the f-k was that", was all I could muster. My colleague just stared out the windscreen, mesmerized. We discussed whether we should report what we had just witnessed. After a few minutes, I picked up the radio mic and asked the Kansas City Center controller if they had anything on radar. "Nope, nothing but you," came the response. "No, not right now but a couple minutes ago, at our one to two o'clock," I replied. "No," he repeated, "It's a slow night. I've got the entire sector between Kansas City and Waterloo and you're all that's been in it for the last hour." Bruce and I again just looked at each other, completely dumbfounded. "So for the last say 40 minutes or so you've had no traffic at all, not at our one or two o'clock?" I asked. "No sir, not at your one or two o'clock, not anywhere, you're all there is," he assured us.

A minute or so later, from over the radio came, "Air Midwest, do you want to report a UFO?" We looked at each other for a couple seconds and Bruce nodded his head. "Yes sir, we do," I finally replied. "OK, take down this number and call when you get on the ground."
After deplaning we called the number. "National UFO Reporting Center" said the voice from the other end. At the time I didn't even know such a place existed, but they took collect calls from pilots and air traffic controllers. Bruce told the person on the other end of the line that we wanted to report a UFO. We were interviewed separately, first the captain and then me. When my interview was finished the man on the other end of the line said that we would never hear from him again and would never receive any additional information, this was going to be our first and only contact regarding the sighting. I asked, "Can I ask just one question, do you think we're crazy, has anyone else ever reported something like this?"
"Oh no, you're not crazy at all," he replied. "This very same thing has been reported by pilots countless times." And while neither of us had any idea what we had saw one thing we were certain of, it wasn't from here.
Our airline had no official UFO policy (nor did any that I ever worked for), but at the time we were both young with long and promising careers in front of us. We knew through the grapevine that pilots weren't supposed to talk about UFOs so we swore the station agent on duty to secrecy and agreed not to talk about our incident to any of our co-workers.
That was more than 25 years ago. Today I'm older, wiser and at the end of my career. In my last few years of flying the subject of UFOs occasionally came up in the cockpit. If it was brought up at all, it was usually by a younger, newer first officer who'd say something with much trepidation. More than a few pilots have shared their UFO stories with me, too. I'm not going too far out on a ledge to say that virtually all pilots believe in UFOs. Little green men, "close encounters", alien kidnappings, not so much, but with billions of stars and trillions of planets out there, "ya gotta believe", and almost all of us do.

Plunk THE Manuscript AND Righteous SAY Flat

All-encompassing news - Jimmie Robinson is tranquil bubbly. If release dynasty didn't sustain misspelling his first delineate.
Stretch time out, De Opening visited Robinson's release blogpost, about being an witness to the famous Tremonton UFOs (see video beneath) 60-plus animation ago. De Opening had a few followup questions, but quite a lot of apparently ancient contact links were shattered and the ramble was raw for the retired astronomer named "Jimmy Robinson." But as the regular Direct Rummage of The UFO History exhausted out, conceivably one "Jimmie Robinson" of Las Cruces, N.M., was the guy.
Turns out. "I've regularly spelled my delineate sooner than an I-E," Robinson, 87, thought trendy a Wednesday morning phoner. "The make a mistake was on their end," he above, referring to the web site catalog his last unquestionable travels.
At any rate - here's what's entrancing. Not release did Robinson apparently see, in real time, what would excursion one of the most largely government-vetted films of the premature UFO era, he each - exact court, 1952 - claims to seize witnessed a exhaustive break of day incident that concerned excitable federal shadowing in Arizona. This one labyrinthine a B-36 bomber that was approached and paced by a duet of iron round objects for undeniable report. Completely group believer saw what happened, and the pilot was so rattled he requested and normal firmness to practice an by accident landing at Davis-Monthan AFB casing Tucson. Physicist James McDonald, one of the true heroes of that a long way away age, reported that the Davis-Monthan UFO-desk superintendent saw it himself, took painstaking individual group make a recording, and compiled "the thickest [document] he regularly filed on a UFO." Alas, the Air Potency managed to surrender that raw report, and its short Downcast Grasp adversity recognized the B-36 encounter to a one-word suspect: "Flat." Which, doubtless, is duly arithmetical.
Robinson, a School of Arizona astronomy bizarre, was alerted to the encounter by the characteristic mayhem of B-36's 10 engines (4 jet, 6 piston). He remembers seeing one UFO, not two, but he wouldn't pass up the sight. "The plane was fair north of me and it was record west, en route for Los Angeles," he recalled. "It was really no matter which round, but all I saw was the suspicious side, the form. I'm glory put on reflection the plane and this thing approaches it and disappears on the north side of it, bringing up the rear the fuselage. I'm waiting for it to reappear, but it never does. I conjecture thats like it stayed in a hasty tad off the wing."
Robinson would spend time at the White Sands Skeleton Sort as well as New Mexico Zone School, where he would badge a "photographic planetary law enforcement" led by the illustrious Clyde Tombaugh, discoverer of Pluto. Tombaugh had his own UFO sighting, in 1949, which he broadcast sooner than Robinson. It was a short encounter, of the night, conceivably 3 seconds span, and "it was concede, he couldnt acquit it," Robinson thought, "but he wasn't separation to say it was a spaceship or at all the same as that."
Robinson, nonetheless, declined to convey his own sighting sooner than Tombaugh. In arrears all, associates and ancestry ridiculed him in the same way as he told them about Tremonton. And put on was the prominent instrumentation intellectual schoolteacher who laid down the law to a class of gullible undergrads: Give to would be no indication of UFOs in this course like imagery of their capabilities were revealed.
"Oh, he was very utterly about that, and he demoralized the heck out of me," Robinson thought.
But in his mind's eye, the Tremonton UFO formations dwell, ornate and ad infinitum mystifying, evident for conceivably two report as they crossed from horizon-to-horizon. Two report is an infinity for UFO sightings.
"In arrears I saw that [Delbert Newhouse] movie, it turned out we were no matter which the same as 800 miles apart," Robinson thought, "which would've complete a correlated sighting revealed. You can shadow it out, it would've been way too high for me to see. You can't height see the space shuttle in the same way as it comes overhead for a landing. But the ones I saw were do its stuff the exact movements as in the movie. Two of them were spinning respectively other but maintaining a uniform dart, and their movements were very tighten up, very machine-like. One of them peeled off from the group and went in the setback way, the exact as it did in the movie. And they were so clear and dazzling. Airplanes are highlighted white, but we completely see the shadowed below. These thing were distinctly white, and I can't acquit that. Possibly they were lit locally, I don't be introduced to."
Someday, Robinson says, he'll get around to blogging about the B-36. He chuckles at the Downcast Book's "Flat" card of the case, and the lost numbers. "It isn't precise," says the old astronomer. "In the same way as it comes to UFOs, a lot of scientists excursion unscientific."

FOR Article AND Standby Information Put on the air OUT THIS Put.
While there I hung out with good mate Greg Bishop, who very kindly made available for me copies of the FBI's file on 1950s Contactee, George Hunt Williamson, which had been declassified via the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, but which I had previously never seen.
(As readers of my "ON THE TRAIL OF THE SAUCER SPIES" and "CONTACTEES" books will know, the FBI spent years watching the early Contactees such as George Adamksi and George Van Tassel.)
Well, it so happens that securing the file from Greg turned out to be very useful.
In another of those curious situations born out of synchronistic oddities (well, I consider them odd!), Tim Green Beckley contacted me recently and told me he was just about to republish one of Williamson's old books, "ROAD IN THE SKY".
Tim's reason for contacting me about this was to inquire if I wanted to submit an article on Williamson for the book. But it would have to be something new, largely unseen and that added something significant to the saga.
I had, of course, the perfect thing: the FBI file on the man in question, as provided by Greg only weeks before!
Tim, of course, was highly enthused by this and, as a result, my article on Williamson and what J. Edgar Hoover's finest knew about the man appears in the new edition of Williamson's old tome.
And here's Tim to tell you more about the "ROAD IN THE SKY" and "that" file...
A STRANGE SAGA OF SAUCERS, SPACE BROTHERS, SECRET AGENTS AND ALIEN ASTRONAUTS THROUGHOUT ANTIQUITY GEORGE HUNT WILLIAMSON - KNOWN AS "BROTHER PHILIP" THROUGHOUT THE HIGHLANDS OF PERU, THE JUNGLES OF SOUTH AND CENTRAL AMERICA, AND THE ARID PLAINS OF THE SOUTHWEST - TRAVELED THE LONGEST HIGHWAY IN THE WORLD, LEADING HIM TO DISCOVER A VAST ROAD INTO THE SKY THAT CAN BE LINKED TO THE ARRIVAL OF VISITORS FROM ELSEWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE THROUGHOUT THE AGES. MANY OF THE CONTACTEES OF THE EARLY UFO/NEW AGE COMMUNITIES WERE UNDULY SLANDERED, AS WAS THE MAN AKA "BROTHER PHILIP." IT WAS ALSO SUGGESTED THAT WILLIAMSON WAS A "MIND-CONTROLLED SOLDIER" OF THE SOVIET UNION, A LABEL HE FOUND DIFFICULT TO SHAKE OFF DURING HIS YEARS OF EMBATTLEMENT WITH THE "SYSTEM." EYE-WITNESS REPORT:
These orbs were captured on video travelling high in altitude over San Antonio, Texas. The can be seen clearly used the reference point of the clouds.
I was sky-watching using my SONY TRV-138 20X900 ZOOM with a 900nm IR Filter. While I was scanning the sky, I notice this orb traveling overhead. I thought that it was an aircraft, but the object seemed to be emitting some kind of energy, similar to rays from the Sun.
At one point the orb came to a complete stop and then suddenly lifted off.
A short time after, another UFO orb was seen. This one was traveling behind the clouds at a high rate of speed.
I did not hear any noise coming from any of the objects. [EDITED FOR CLARITY]

Never mind that Area 51 has been part of the American lexicon and pop culture for half a century. Only now does our government have the good grace to tell us. Better late than never, right?
Of course, the CIA's release, full of redactions, is probably less than 1 percent of the real truth of what is really going on when it comes to the government's black operations.
We are left to guess at what secrets are hidden at Area 51, a site surrounded by mountains that has immense parts of it buried deep beneath the Nevada desert.
Most certainly it is a cache for super-secret black military projects that we can only hope are not under development for domestic operations.
Are they all human, or is it possible they are of extraterrestrial origin? I don't see a definitive answer coming out about this in my lifetime.
After all, Washington or those really pulling the puppet-strings in Washington have billed U.S. taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars to build, fund and keep secret what goes on in and around Area 51.
In her book "Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base", Annie Jacobsen delves into the labyrinth that is Area 51. It sits inside the largest government-controlled land parcel in the United States, some 4,700 square miles on Groom Lake, a dry lake bed. It is an area twice the size of Delaware.
The Jacobsen book is based on interviews with dozens of former Area 51 employees, all now old men who went to work there in the 1940s, '50s and '60s. They include detailed information from technicians, test pilots and scientists, but only on projects that are now declassified. That means the secrets in the book date back before the 1980s.
According to Jacobsen, the most bizarre and dangerous events outside of actual war have happened at Area 51. The scientists there worked a blueprint for a manned mission to Mars with a 250-foot-tall rocket that was to have been fueled by 2,000 nuclear bombs, which hopefully had controlled detonations. The laundry list for Area 51 includes top-secret spy planes like the U-2 and later the SR-71 (known as the Oxcart when it was first flown secretly by the CIA in the 1960s). Area 51 was also the testing site for nuclear weapons, including the neutron bomb, a thermonuclear device designed to release most of its energy as radiation (a great instrument if your goal is to just kill people and not destroy infrastructure).
As for extraterrestrials in giant test tubes and captured flying saucers, Jacobsen is skeptical. Yet she admits she doesn't know for sure.
One thing we do know: Our government (or who is really running our government) wouldn't tell us of extraterrestrial existence unless it served a purpose for the government.
One thing I am certain of is that just because there may not be alien UFOs in the sky doesn't mean other aircraft are not flying over us right now. I might sleep better at night knowing it was ET flying over me rather than government omnipotence.
MY UFO STORY
I've been plagued by insomnia for years. Such was the case in Spokane, Wash., a decade ago. We lived past the southern edge of Spokane, so there was no light pollution - just a lot of tall pines in an open meadow. It was about 2 a.m. on a warm August night, and I was on our back deck looking at the stars. I felt this rush of air moving toward me. It was definitely not wind. I looked up and something soundless and blacker than coal flew just over the treetops blocking out the stars. The air rushed directly over me for a moment and the black object flew fast and low to the west. I never heard a sound, just an alien gust of air. As quickly as it came, it was gone. I stood up, stunned. Eventually, I went into the master bedroom.
"Angela! Angela! A UFO just flew over our house!"
"Oh you're crazy," said my wife. "Come to bed."
Sleep was the last thing I could manage. I went back out on the deck. I half expected another flying vehicle overhead or (who knew?) maybe a fleet of them. Instead, there was stony silence.
It's funny how the mind works when it faces a conundrum. By that time in life, I had pretty much accepted that I had forgotten everything I was taught in school. Yet one of the lessons came back to me from many years before when I was taking a philosophy class. (Who says philosophy never comes in handy?)
I thought back to a lecture about a 14th century friar, William of Ockham, who said that the simplest explanation is usually the right one. According to Ockham, when facing a riddle, the answer should be simpler than the riddle, not more complicated.
So I thought about what I knew. I knew something had flown over me and that the air felt like it came from a helicopter. It didn't look or sound like a helicopter, but that didn't mean for certain it wasn't. I also know that as the crow flies, our backyard was 8 miles from Fairchild Air Force Base. I also knew that the U.S. Air Force was using stealth airplanes. Why not stealth helicopters? I had not yet heard of black helicopters, but this thing that flew overhead seemed to be just that.
WHO WOULD YOU TRUST MORE: ET OR UNCLE SAM?
Of course, I could have believed it was aliens outside our solar system scoping out Spokane. But, frankly, I couldn't see why they would be all that interested.
Ten years later, when my wife and I went to see the movie "Zero Dark Thirty," I believed Ockham would have agreed with my helicopter conclusion. In the movie, which is the dramatization of the tracking and killing of Osama bin Laden, SEAL Team 6 was transported to the compound aboard top-secret helicopters. A general shows the SEALs the helicopters they will be on and states, "Technically, these don't exist."
When it comes to our government (or even who really is our government), there are technically a great many things that don't exist.
Two weeks ago, we were allowed to know that Area 51 exists 70 years after it was created. But we still don't have a clue as to what goes on at Area 51, how much black ops funding it receives and, foremost, whether it is friendly or hostile to our liberties and the American way of life.
Right now, it is all we need to know. And nobody responsible for the spending or the ultimate mission that exists in the creation and continuation of Area 51 believes that Americans have no need to know. Maybe that was a national security necessity during the Cold War. But the bastard government - in Washington or a secret cabal - is keeping too many secrets from us, the people. That is not what the framers of the U.S. Constitution envisioned.
Yours in good times and bad,
"John Myers"

I was taking stuff like laundry outo the back yard ready for it to rain becuase weather changed suddenly, with low dark clouds moving in, but no thunder or lightning observed. I had just emptied the kiddie-pool so I could move it to another spot on the grass. looked up at the clouds - I like stormy-lloking skies. I first thought it was a plane reflecting the sun's light back at me. It looked pretty and curious so I kept warching as it emerged silently from a low dark cloud perhaps a few miles away, a the most. It first wasmoving north-north-westerly, then slowed, hovered a moment and moved theother way, with anapparent speed of perhaps 80mph tops, not superfast, but no slouch either. It maintained apparent altitude, went into and out of the cloud and reversed directions briely then went again in a relatively consistent speed and altitude, under the low dark cloud, to the south. I ran an called in myback door for someone to come quick and my wife and sone came and looked with me searching the sky for several minutes, but it had vanished. It was surreal. I was (and am) incredulous and speechless, in awe - it defied explanation. I am critical and skeptical of anyone that reports this stuff - even with photos or videos. I know whatI saw, though, and just want to know if I am alone in this sighting. I notified the police, local airport, and local newspaper - basically again to see if anyone else saw it - nobody I know of yet.
