As well as being very curious, I remember getting a bit scared at this point because I really did not know what I was looking at.The object was moving up and down diagonally from right to left over and over again in the sky. It was a shining white line or rod, almost silver in parts, and appeared to have small round lights spaced out equally in a horizontal line along the centre of its body. I got the impression that the lights were moving around the object.After registering that what I was looking at was very odd, I pointed the strange moving object out to my father and younger brother. For some reason it took them both a little while to find the object in the sky. After watching and discussing this unusual object among ourselves for a couple of minuets, the traffic light turned green again and we began to move off. As we were moving away, I continued to watch the object for another minuet or so until, most strangely of all, the object suddenly disappeared in a silver flash. A few weeks later, on February 1, 2003 (the same day as the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster), me and my younger brother had a second daylight sighting - very different to the first. This was of a yellow and orange fireball and was probably just a conventional meteor.Whatever these two sightings were, they definitely had a very real and lasting effect on me and were chiefly responsible for my general interest in UFOs turning supernova. it's back. Between 8:30-9pm 8/3 saw same route as other sandwich sighting month ago. About 15 mins later a smaller white light very high in atmosphere traveled approx SE NW close to being E to W. About 15 mins later saw another white light even higher that other traveling in opposite direction as bright orange light. I thought was plane or helicopter at 1st. I know local & Boston aerial objects. these were not.. I live in sandwich village & have bed under skylight. I often wake up at 3-4 am & like clockwork I see a white light streaking across skys very high. Satellites? Have never posted any sightings before & doing so to see if others see same & white lights streaking across sky's in early am. Is there a satellite path over the cape going from approx west to east at 3-4 am due to air base? Like other sighting I know helicopters as they fly right over my house. The orange ball was not one, or local air field. Never seen anything like it in my 15 years area. By time I raced to get IPad to record, 30 secs, it had disappeared in east. Ironically 2 white lights 15 min apart similar to early am ones had never seen before & I stargaze a lot with iPad app.

Neuroscientist Dr. Michael Persinger believes the phenomenon can be explained by the brain reacting to electromagnetic pulses (from natural and other sources), and experiments with a special helmet hes designed seem to produce the same results. Despite all this, though, a researcher at Temple University believes that so many people believe theyve been abducted, that it must be real. (A logical fallacy BTW.) He also believes that aliens are breeding alien-human hybrids from these experiments. (Yeah, right.)
Finally, the show looks at the "Wow!" signal where, once several decades ago, a radio telescope seemed to pick up an alien transmission from outer space -- but only once. Two theories explain this: one is that the instrument could have picked up a "sideways" signal from Earth (or a satellite passing overhead -- which the radio-telescope team denies). The second is that it was a "burp" (radio energy burst) from a black hole.
I hadnt intended to do a full review of this show (or series), but the combination of irrational theories and rational explanations made it intriguing, and a cut above the other supernatural "reality" shows on SyFy and other channels. This, at least, explains the rational side.
