It's with great disgust that I write this.
As one who has witnessed the fantastic, I waited with great anticipation for the UFO Hunter's episode on the "Stephenville Lights" case. What I watched was a complete fumble of the "UFO football"... completely out of bounds, and just out of the stadium!
As an observer to an incredibly massive unidentified object myself, I understand the great importance of telling the story of the "Stephenville Lights" openly, truthfully, and with the best witnesses available; not by triangulating a weather balloon and comment, "now that looks like a UFO!" No, it's an IFO (identified flying object i.e., a weather balloon)!
Why do they continually redefine the term, "UFO" as an alien craft? An "unidentified aerial object" until determined otherwise, is just that, i.e., a UFO... not necessarily alien-period! They continually say, "that might be a UFO!". Well, if it cannot be identified at the time, it IS a UFO! Most likely not alien, but at that time, "not identified."
I really wish the word or term UFO would just go away.
My question here is, "why did they not get the most important witnesses to this case on the show?" Where was Rick Sorrells? He has witnessed the large craft several times. Including once while deer hunting on his property in daytime! He described the massive object while looking thru his scope on his rifle! Where is this interview? Where is Steve Allen's interview? He's a licensed pilot and witnessed the lights/object first hand. Where is his interview? Where is the Angelia Joiner interview? She's the reporter who first broke the story. Why wasn't she interviewed? There are also three police officers who witnessed the large craft.... calling it a massive craft...where is that interview?
Instead the UFO Hunter's claim to have a "never-seen-before video" from Mr. Dave Coran. Except that video first was seen on the Internet on March 5, 2008. What gives here? Where is the investigating? Where is the truth?
There was a part of this so-called investigation that was intriguing.... a video of a beam of light that failed to touch the ground. Wow! Are you kidding? Now here's something incredibly unusual. Now the question is this.... did their so-called scientist try to recreate this weird incident? No. Why not? Could it be that this is known to be "highly unusual" and they knew it could not be duplicated by their pseudo-science?
So, in my eyes they failed to get the most important witnesses. They failed to explain how a beam of light that stopped short of touching the ground could happen. Instead they launched a weather balloon and claimed it to look like a UfO.
I have but one thing to say to the UFO Hunters.... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...stay away from the "Massive UFO Flyover of Arizona, March 13, 1997".

I was outside smoking a cigarette star gazing as I often do when I saw a steady moving light that was moving faster than any plane I've ever seen. It came from directly south and was heading directly north according to my compass. It didn't appear to speed up nor did it slow down. I looked around for a plane to compare it to and I couldn't find one which was odd because I usually see them often living within an hour from the airport. It had come and gone within 90 seconds I'd say. I continued to watch because I wanted to see if I could locate a plane or was curious if something was going to follow its path. Within about two minuets I witnessed a slower moving object with a steady blinking light come from the east to the west. It didn't have a red and green starboard and port lights like most planes and it was a very clear sky. All of these events took place between 620 pm and 625 pm. I didn't stay to watch the blinking light because it would have took far too long for it to leave eye sight. I would say the first object was moving at least 4 to 5 times the speed of the second object.

Summary of Events: In 1976 on the Spanish Canary Island an extremely intensive wave of UFO sightings began. The case file is filled with multiple witness sightings, agreeing in great detail as to what was seen over the island. This highly unusual event actually began on the night of June, 22. Residents of Tenerife, La Palma, and La Gomera began reporting unusual lights in the sky almost simultaneously. The Canary Island investigation would also include a rarity-the credibility of testimony of eyewitnesses was based on social status: that is, a report by an engineer would be of more value than that of a laborer.
Yellow-Blue Lights: An armed Navy escort ship, the "Atrevida" would make the very first report of unusual activity in the skies. The ship was three and one-half miles off the coast of Fuerteventura Island. At 9:27 PM, the crew observed an extremely intense yellow-blue light which was coming from the shore of the island out to sea. The captain of the vessel made a detailed report of the sighting in the ship's log. The UFO was also seen and reported by residents of the island, with three villages-Galdar, Las Rosas, and Agaete making the heaviest reports.
Detailed Investigation: An Investigator Adjutant would do a thorough search through military and civilian air logs, and state that there were not any aerial flights, or exercises which might account for the reports. The Spanish Air Force would conduct an extremely detailed account of all of the sightings. Their report listed fourteen different, "highly credible" witness statements. The glowing object was also photographed by several different witnesses, from different locations and angles.
Most Dramatic Account: The most dramatic account of the Canary Island sightings comes from a physician, Doctor Francisco Padron Leon, who was traveling in a cab at the time, making a house call, arriving at the patient's house, he and the cab driver saw an incredible sight, a large, glowing sphere of blue. The doctor watched the sphere long enough to make a very detailed report on the anomalous object. He described the sphere as having a radius of 100 feet, with the lower part of the inside of the orb having a platform made of an aluminum-like material.
Descriptions of the Aliens: Two tall alien beings, 8-10 feet in height, manned the platform, or control center for the sphere, one on one side, one on the other. The aliens were wearing clothes of a red color, and they always looked directly at each other while performing their duties. The beings were humanoid shaped, with heads disproportionately large for the rest of their bodies. They wore a helmet. The doctor was able to glean such a good description of the beings and platform because the sphere was totally transparent. He could see stars through the sphere.
The Orb Moves Away: As he watched the enigmatic sphere, it began to grow larger and larger as it began to move away from the island toward the town of Tenerfie. After reaching its ultimate size, it then dissolved into a small size before disappearing. A neighbor who lived near the doctor's patient, was watching television at the time, when the screen went blank, and her dogs began to bark loudly outside her home. She ran to a window to check on what the dogs were barking at, and saw the doctor's cab, and the alien sphere. She reported seeing two figures in the sphere.
Conclusions: Throughout the remainder of the year, various and sundry reports were made of similar objects over Canary. An official governmental report would be released, but it was ambiguous at best. They accepted the reports of the UFOs as valid, but would not accept the alien presence. This was done to allow the possibility that the UFOs could be an unknown Air Force exercise. Giving credence to the reports of alien beings would necessitate accepting an extraterrestrial explanation for the entire event. The Canary Island alien sphere event is considered legitimate by many investigators.

UFO SIGHTING IN WASHINGTON, WASHINGTON ON JULY 15TH 2013 - DULL LIGHT THAT GOT VERY BRIGHT AND LARGER WENT BACK TO DULL THAN GONE
I was looking up at the stars, when I thought I saw a satellite. I noticed It was going some what faster than a satellite. I than thought it was a local plane. The dull light, as compared to the stars started getting a clear bright, it also seem to get several times its original size. It got several times brighter than the moon like a cars headlight from a distance. The light quckly went back to dull than it was gone. Very clear warm night, no clouds, evening mist or any fog like conditions. I'm thinking maybe space debris, but it had several seconds as one britness than went to another than gone?

UFO SIGHTING IN DENVER, COLORADO ON AUGUST 6TH 2013 - THOUGHT IT WAS BALLOONS LOOKED UNDER CONTROL CHANGED DIRECTION/SHAPE/ELEVATION IT WAS BLACK W/ TWO LEVELS BOTTOMBIGGER THAN TOP AND LOOKED LIKE A KONG TOY
My wife and I were headed home. We were stopped at 56th and pecos facing east and waiting to turn north. As we were waiting at the light my wife spotted what she thought was a small black helicopter above and to the right of her/southeast and heading northeast. She originally assumed it was trying to land, but then the object continued in the same direction apparently not wanting to land. She thought I also had seen it, but I hadn't. She then alerted me to the fact that she had seen it and I looked directly ahead east and at a 30 degree angle above horizon it was only 2/10 a mile away. It continued to glide in a northeast direction and about 200' above ground. I then went through the light straight instead of turning to get a better view. This was on impulse as it would have been better to turn north towards highway 1-76. This was do to the fact that the object continued northeast and out of view when I pulled into a dead end parking lot. I then went north to pursue this object. Just two blocks north we spotted the object again heading in the same direction. we were on pecos street bridge this object continued towards a local gardening store paulinos as it reached this area it stopped and returned slowly in our direction and at the same time appeared to change shape and became a flat upward thin line then reformed and continued toward our direction northwest. It then slowly changed direction back to the northeast heading it originally had. It was then gliding directly next to 1-76. It looked as if it had attempted to land at one point not far from 1-76 and 1-25 confluence coming no more than 40' feet from ground. Granted we were now watching it at probably close to a mile from us. So distance from ground would be hard to guess. It then slowly glided back in northeast direction were we continued to observe it gliding along 1-76 a couple more miles. This object seemed to be under control. We assumed it was either a small manmade craft or balloons possibly but the object was not making a sound and it had a definite path unlike a bunch of balloons. It never accelerated rapidly but did turn/dive and rotate. When rotating it seemed to morph into a thin black line. Most of the time it looked like a snowman with no head and solid black. This object was very intriguing, so much so that I instantly had to pursue it. Going in the wrong direction from what I should have just to try seeing it better.

The team looks at the biggest things in the sky, reports of giant UFOs. In 2007, a pilot over the English Channel spotted a gigantic object a mile wide in the sky. The sighting was confirmed by radar and a 2nd pilot, a yellowish platform-like object, followed later by a second, smaller one. In Canada and Iceland, eyewitnesses have also seen huge objects, some "twice the size of an aircraft carrier, and the show asks, "Why are huge UFOs are following our aircraft?" The team sets out to recreate the English sighting, declaring it one of the best documented ever. A good chunk of the show is spent up in an airplane, talking about the original encounter with the pilot and his passenger witnesses. The passengers who go on the recreation flight give the pilot high marks for how he reacted, given how unusual the situation was. At the end of the flight, he asked for anyone who saw anything unusual to leave their information with him.
The crew also talks to a French pilot, who saw a huge red-orange flying disc -- 800-1000 across -- below his plane. Then the object, which was fuzzy around the edges, gradually became transparent and disappeared. The show also mentions the sighting of a much smaller UFO--a rock that seemed to fly through the air under intelligent control. A 1986 Japanese piolt saw a giant UFO with two smaller ones, which the pilot thought were ships sent from the larger "mothership." The show notes that lenticular clouds, a very rare phenomenon, can appear disc-like and are very large. Sundogs are mentioned, too, but both these phenomena are dismissed as explanation to the shows sighting. The scientist they interview suggest that the sightings could be cause by a rare temperature inversion area, which can act like a mirror, reflecting things from afar, or even light. Such inversions can show up on radar. Of course, the crew doesnt believe that, either. As usual, the show relies heavily on witness reports and very little on actual science, but they speculate that because of air traffic, these types of sightings will increase in the future.

Milton Torres 1957
The Milton Torres 1957 UFO Encounter is a case reported by a former jet pilot in the United States Air Force, Milton John Torres, of Miami, Florida. On May 20, 1957, the 25-year-old Torres was ordered on a mission to intercept and shoot down a large UFO that had been picked up by radar in the skies over East Anglia, United Kingdom. Torres, flying a North American Aviation F-86D Sabre jet approached the object and prepared to fire upon it. As he locked on his weapons, the UFO suddenly zoomed away at a high rate of speed. The details of this case were first made public in a release of UFO-related case files by the British government in October.
This case shares some similarities with the Del Rio, Texas UFO Crash of 1955, which also involved an aerial encounter between an F-86 Sabre and a UFO.
EVENTS PRIOR TO SIGHTING
On May 20, 1957, Milton Torres was a 25-year-old lieutenant with the 514th Fighter Interceptor Squadron in the 406th Air Expeditionary Wing based at RAF Manston in Kent. Torres was the pilot of one of two North American Aviation F-86D jets that were on five-minute alert at the end of the runway at RAF Manston airfield, awaiting the signal to scramble. The two American pilots were on standby and their jets were fully powered for immediate take-off. The exact time of the incident is not known, but it occurred late in the evening on May 20
ORDERED TO INTERCEPT
Torres and his fellow pilot were in the "alert shack" at RAF Manston when they received instructions to take to the air. The two pilots raced to their respective F-86Ds and took off well within the allotted five minutes.
"The initial briefing indicated that the ground was observing for a considerable time a blip that was orbiting the East Anglia area." Torres was then told that the object of his pursuit "was an unidentified flying object with very unusual flight patterns" and that "the bogey [UFO] actually was motionless for long intervals."
Having difficulty believing that he had been ordered to open fire on the unknown object, Torres requested authentication. "I was only a lieutenant and very much aware of the gravity of the situation." When the authentication code response came back, Torres struggled to match the numbers with those in his daily code sheet. "It was totally black, and the lights were down for night flying. I used my flashlight, still trying to fly and watch my radar." The authentication code matched.
Torres, who was in the lead position, received orders to push his jet to maximum power by using full afterburner and to proceed to an altitude of 32,000 feet on a heading that would intercept the UFO. The F-86D moved to Mach.92, (more than 700 miles per hour). The maximum speed of the F-86D is 761 miles per hour.
Torres and his wingman were vectored by Met Sector to a position over the North Sea, just east of East Anglia. Asked to report any visual observations about the UFO, Torres told ground control, "I'm in the soup, and it is impossible to see anything." High altostratus clouds and night flying conditions prevented him from making any visual contact.
APPROACHING THE UFO
Aware that he was reaching the upper limit of his jet's capabilities, Torres requested to come out of afterburner, but ground control denied his request. At that time, he prepared to execute the order to "fire a full salvo of rockets at the UFO." The F-86D carried 24 rockets. The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force describes the aircraft as having a "retractable tray of 24 rockets" and adds that "the effect of these weapons would have been devastating to an enemy bomber" because each 2.75-inch Mighty Mouse Mk 4/Mk 40 Folding-Fin Aerial Rocket (FFAR) contained the power of a 75mm artillery shell.

As Torres prepared all 24 of his rockets for firing, he could hear the other F-86D pilot also responding to orders from ground control. "I wasn't paying too much attention... but I clearly remember him giving a 'Roger' to all the transmissions. I can only suppose he was as busy as I was."
Torres was given a final turning maneuver to execute and was told to look 30 degrees to port. His radar screen displayed the UFO at 30 degrees and about 15 miles distant. "The blip was burning a hole in the radar with its incredible intensity. It was similar to a blip I had received from B-52s and seemed to be a magnet of light."
According to Torres, the radar return "had the proportions of a flying aircraft carrier." He added, "By that I mean the return on the radar was so strong that it could not be overlooked by the fire control system on the F-86D... The larger the airplane the easier the lock on. This blip almost locked itself... it was the best target I could ever remember locking on to. I had locked on in just a few seconds, and I locked on exactly 15 miles, which was the maximum range for lock on."

Suddenly, he noticed that the object on the radar screen was moving. "Do you have a Tally Ho?" Ground control radioed, wanting to know if he had made visual contact with the UFO. Torres replied that he was still "in the soup" and could see nothing.
"By this time, the UFO had broke lock, and I saw him leaving my 30 mile range. Again I reported that he was gone, only to be told that he was now off their scope as well. With the loss of the blip off their scope, the mission was over. We were vectored back to home plate (Manston) and secured our switches. My last instructions were that they would contact me on the ground by land line."
Torres was left with the impression that the UFO was moving at no less than Mach 10 (over 7,000 miles per hour) when it disappeared. "This thing had to be going double-digit mach making turns that I didn't think were possible, breaking all the rules of physics," Torres said. According to Torres, the UFO "didn't follow classic Newtonian mechanics. It made a right turn almost on a dime. The (Royal Air Force radar) scope had a range of 250 miles. And after two sweeps, which took two seconds, it was gone. And I was flying almost at Mach 1, at.92."
AFTERMATH
After the mission, Torres was advised that the mission he had just completed was classified and that he would receive further information about it from an "investigator." Torres later wrote, "I had not the foggiest idea what had actually occurred, nor would anyone explain anything to me."
On the day after the incident, Torres was ushered into a room of the squadron operations area, where a well-dressed American civilian in a dark blue trenchcoat was waiting for him. The civilian, who looked to Torres like an "IBM salesman" and was in his late 30s or early 40s, had come from London to interview Torres. He waved a National Security Agency (NSA) ID at Torres and immediately began asking questions about the UFO sighting. "He advised me that this would be considered highly classified and that I should not discuss it with anybody, not even my commander. He threatened me with a national security breach if I breathed a word about it to anyone. He disappeared without so much as a goodbye, and that was that, as far as I was concerned." The interview took only about 30 minutes, but Torres was "significantly impressed" by it that he did not speak to anyone about the UFO incident until recent years.
Torres told the "Air Force Times" that the NSA agent threatened to revoke his flying privileges and end his Air Force career if he talked about the mission. "He told me I would lose my pilot's license and it would be the end of my flying days
ABOUT MILTON JOHN TORRES
Milton Torres was born on July 28, 1931 in New York City but moved to Miami, Florida at age 15. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and was commissioned as a lieutenant in 1954, serving in Great Britain as a fighter pilot. In 1961, he earned a bachelor of science degree in engineering and became a range control officer at Cape Canaveral AFS for the Gemini and Apollo space programs. Later, he flew 276 combat missions in the Vietnam War and earned 13 air medals, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He attained the rank of major before retiring from military service in 1971. After leaving the military, he earned a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering and became an engineering professor at Florida International University. He retired from the university in 2004. Torres wrote a novel in 2005 titled "The Good Guys Wear Blue Hats" [ISBN 978-1420846522] based partly on his own experiences in the military and working with NASA.
RECENT COMMENTS BY TORRES
In an interview with the "Miami Herald" published October 23, 2008, the 77-year-old Torres stated that the UFO he saw on radar in 1957 "was not made of this Earth" and that his mission to fire upon the UFO was "just a dumb little kid going to slaughter." He expressed gratitude at not having fired because he surely "would have been vaporized." Speaking to Miles O'Brien of Cable News Network (CNN), Torres said he is convinced the UFO he encountered was designed by an "alien" intelligence and was not manufactured on Earth. He also said,"It was some kind of space alien craft. It was so fast, it was so incredible... it was absolutely death defying. To this day, when he [Torres] goes outside, he always looks up, half expecting to catch a glimpse of the prey that escaped him that night," according to an article in the "Toronto Star".

Three UFO reports of triangle or disc-shaped objects on July 25, 2012, were reported from Denton County, Texas, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. A fourth case may be related from nearby Grayson County.A witness was stargazing on an apartment patio in Denton County about 12:30 a.m. on July 25 when a triangle-shaped object was observed hovering in the sky in Case 41135."At first I thought it was a satellite, but noticed that it wasn't conventional moving across the sky," the witness stated. WHAT IS A TRIANGULAR UFO?
For starters, they are the most commonly reported type of UFO following the ambiguous unidentified light. More often than not, they'll appear to be dark in color. Typically being either black or charcoal. While triangular UFOs have been reported since the modern UFO phenomenon began, it's only in the past two decades that they've really taken the world by storm. In fact, between 1992-2012 sightings of the triangular UFO have increased by 1,838%.* Prior to that, reports of this particular UFO were usually rare.
ALIEN ORIGINS?
Naturally when people discuss the UFO phenomenon, most are inclined towards explaining them away as extraterrestrial. The general public has been conditioned into associating the acronym UFO with aliens even though the definition has nothing to do with them. That said, is it possible some of these craft may very well be from another planet. At least as far as the older reports are concerned However, most of what we know about these specific craft has been the result of research in recent decades.
BLACK BUDGET?
As mentioned previously, most reports of the triangular UFO occurred during the past two decades. With that in mind, stealth-faceted aircraft were invented during the 70s. The military as a whole has been focused on making their hardware more difficult to detect. That means stealth. Be it invisible to radar, audible noise or the naked eye.
In 1996, Shawn Kevin Jason encountered a black triangle hovering within 20 feet of the ground over a highway. As he pulled up underneath the triangular UFO, he noticed it had nine white lights on it. As he described it, the lights were incandescent bulbs. Technology that was invented by Thomas Edison and is purely terrestrial in origin. He is not the only witness to report objects of human construction on these UFOs.
CONCLUSION
To say the triangular UFO is alien and nothing else would be a big mistake. Considering the likelihood they are advanced stealth aircraft being manufactured by companies like Boeing, Lockheed-Martin and Northrup Grumman goes without saying. The bigger question is what are they being used for
Is there a purpose behind the harassment people are reporting? What does the military hope to achieve? On one hand, such encounters help to perpetrate the myth these craft are alien. On the other, it sets humanity up for a potential fake alien invasion in our future. Let's hope that is not the case.

By now do we really need any more proof that aliens exist? Still, there are die-hard skeptics who think people (like myself) who have actually witnessed strange spacecrafts or may have even been on board these UFOs and/or interacted with extra terrestrials simply have a wild imagination or too much alcohol on the brain. I've always been a believer and UFOs 1973: Aliens Abductions & Extraordinary Sightings just solidified my convictions.
Why 1973? It seems to have been a year chock full of historical events and plenty of UFO sightings. Fast forward to the present day and you find that historical events are taking place, as well as an increase in UFO sightings. Could there be a connection?
I enjoyed the fact that this was an uncensored and, to me, an unbiased film on UFOs and aliens. The filmmaker allowed the witnesses to tell their stories without being coached or cut. There's no hype to sway you one way or the other, you can make up your own mind. This makes it seem even more real...and I believe it is.

One thing that a study of the UFO makes abundantly clear: someone is operating technology that is not supposed to exist, and yet it does. Silent craft, for example, that can instantly accelerate, many of which are said to be of non-human origin, but others which are argued to be of classified manufacture. Is there a clandestine infrastructure that has made significant breakthroughs, but which has kept them secret from the rest of us? Richard Dolan answers in the affirmative. In 2000, he published UFOs and the National Security State: An Unclassified History, 1941-1973 (republished in 2002 with the subtitle Chronology of a Cover-Up, 1941-1973). This 500-page history provides clear detail on the major UFO cases of the early Cold War era, the attitudes and policies toward UFOs by the military and intelligence community, and the fascinating development of the citizen movements to end UFO secrecy.
In 2009, Richard completed Volume Two of his historical study, subtitled The Cover-Up Exposed, 1973-1991, and is now at work on the final volume of his historical trilogy.
Richard has also published articles and spoken at conferences around the world. Among his main themes are the destruction of our political liberties as a result of the UFO cover-up. He has also speculated on the possible nature of the non-humans themselves and what their presence here means for our civilization. This has led him to take a fresh approach to the topic of "Exopolitics" and to develop unique insights into the practical challenges and opportunities for a true disclosure of the UFO phenomenon.

I was getting my telescope ready for a night of stargazing around 6;00 pm,I noticed a bright light and a dimmer one in the western sky,way too early for any stars to be shinning that bright, I thought it might be an airplane light but an half hour passed it only got brighter and didn't move very much ( 2 finger width ) in the sky, so I grabbed my binoculars, the object almost looked like it was on fire ( glowing ) reddish-orange color and I then got my 6in Orion telescope and took a look that's when things got strange. I noticed the object was three to four orbs turning and rotating but keeping a rectangular formation. I was excited and ran to get my wife to look and make sure I wasn't seeing things and when she confirmed seeing exactly what I saw, I immediately got goose bumps. I watched it for about a half an hour and it faded into the distance.

My preschooler and I walked ascend in my granddaughter and noticed a assortment of the borough worry staring at the sky. Offer were frequent spry red-orange objects that were drifting and elation very regularly sooner than zooming off and thus weakening. Recent catastrophes; earthquakes in China, cyclones in Myanmar,tornadoes in the U.S., have caused some to once again demonize UFOs, or at least, those who choose to explore the mystery of UFOs.
Why the two would have anything to do with each other is beyond me, but the supposed thinking of those who use these tragedies to support their peevish anti-UFO stance makes sense to them, obviously.
Skeptics of many varieties (including, paradoxically, those who acknowledge there are UFOs) don't like most UFO researchers. That aside, they don't like UFOs much either. They're always pissed off at them, because UFOS aren't doing anything. The UFO phenomena's continued behavior of remaining elusive is maddening, torturous in its contradictory, slippery manifestations. And yet, for all the years the UFOs have been around (centuries, really) for all the evidence, they haven't done anything. At least not in a grand, showy way; pulling off some mind blowing trick like turning mountains into ice cream sundaes or finally delivering those flying cars.
They haven't fixed anything, saved anyone, cured any diseases, solved any of the world's problems. They didn't prevent the recent tragedies, or past disasters. They didn't warn us. They haven't stopped war. Racism, ageism, sexism, classism still exist, relgious hatreds and wars continue, people live in poverty. The aliens and UFOs haven't fixed any of it.
This makes some people downright mad. Instead of getting mad at a god, God, Jesus - they're mad at UFOs. And they're madder still at people who study UFOs. The message seems to be that it's somehow all our fault that tragedies happen. And if it isn't our fault, exactly, and/or the UFOs, we're still guilty by association just for seriously thinking about the subject.
I get the feeling these brands of skeptics (and beware; many of them insist they are not skeptics at all and are, in fact, in with the in crowd of UFO researchers) have a whole lot of expectations on what UFOs should do, and what they shouldn't do. Which is ludicrous. They accuse us of being like children; frivolous children who chase after the fleeting, fragile UFO, when it's they that are stuck in magical thinking.
Sure, I "believe" in aliens. Rather, I believe they exist. I believe aliens from other planets, as well as other entities, are all around us. I don't believe in them, however. I don't pray to them or expect them to do anything.
I don't believe every UFO is from outer space, piloted by ET.
I don't believe ET, aliens, entities, Mothman, Bigfoot, or Lizard Man are going to save us, cure us, fix us, heal the planet, or teach me how to parallel park.
I don't think only some should study UFOs, and others shouldn't, and I don't think anyone should, or, shouldn't, just because I said so. Or because anyone else said so.
I don't care who's who, or why, or what they do in their private life, (naturally there are some boundaries here, Christ people, use your common sense) if they party too much, or not enough, -- they "get to" delve into the mysteries of life as much as anyone. In fact, god knows, we need more people getting deep into this stuff!
Using the very real horrors of this world to bash UFO or Fortean research is dishonest. It's disingenuous. It's lazy. It distracts from both the world's cruel realities, as well as anomalous research.
The two aren't in a contest with each other; don't make it one. Don't pit one phenomena against the other as some sort of moral barometer of any given individual.
