Nick Pope comes out from the very beginning stating the UK government knows no more than the public on identifying these unidentified objects. Nick states emphatically, over and over, there are no conspiracies by the UK government to hold back the truth. Of course, we know that good old Nick would spill the beans to the rest of us if he knew...wouldn't he?
If the United States government and the UK released everything they have on the term "UFOs" it would not tell one tenth of the story. There are many ways to hide information even within secret documents. Replacing any catch word like UFO with eyes only documents, would have been instituted decades ago. No matter what anyone tells you there never was a secret as big as an the Extra-Terrestrial presence on earth.

Where else would you put a secret that had so many implications? Where are they from? How many different visitor types are here? What are they doing? Why are they acting in secret? What chance do we have against this type of technology?
Remember, this would be a potential enemy you really know nothing about, no history, culture, attitudes, belief system nothing to build a psychology around or a profile.
The truth is that this secret could be disguised as anything.
If the USA releases all of documents on UFOs, will it also release the film of the famous shoot down of one of our missiles? If that is not forthcoming then are all those witnesses are lying? We could go on and on about hundreds of UFO cases where gun camera videos of UFOs were shot. We have landing cases and Roswell and missing UFO evidence. All of these will be considered fake if no corroborating evidence is found. That's a great deal of good solid witness cases that are thrown to the wolves.
Some of the officers at Roswell who were first person witnesses to the spaceship and were in the RAF. What happened to them and their secrets? Does Nick Pope claim that none of these UK military officers never briefed their government on what happened at Roswell? Will the UK reveal what really happened at the famous Brentwaters Airbase UFO landing case in the final release of the UK UFO documents? According to Larry Warren at Brentwaters there was film taken during this landing incident. So, if there is no smoking gun film as Nick Popes claims then Larry Warren is lying there is no two ways about it.
Rather than helping to support the strong conclusion that UFOs are unknown craft, these public relation disclosures belittle the importance of UFOs. In the end the government statement being made here is: there is no smoking gun and there never has been one. Do you want to support that?
This sham disclosure is also true in the South American countries. Just because they claim all UFO data will be released doesn't mean this is going to happen. A great example of a phony photo ops disclosure was undertaking by Brazilian government. The following actually happened on a recent disclosure in Brazil. The suicide of the captain who headed a military team sent to investigate the UFOs put pressure on the government to release what they claimed was the "full" government's document on "Operation Plate," a stunning UFO case. Brazil had the press there as they led the UFO researchers to look over all the documents. The problem was when they were inside the document archives, away from the press, they were not allowed to see all the documents including, believe it or not, video... some disclosure.
The arrogance of a Nick Pope or the John Alexander's of this world in claiming the governments do not have any smoking gun evidence is a slap in the face of the many credible UFO witnesses.
So, if any of you think we will win the war of UFO silence through disclosure, think again. In one swoop the governments of the world, through these disclosures have swept some of the most disturbing cases and their witnesses under the carpet.
